Great videos. I just wish I had seen them before I built my own (smallish) solution two years ago. Maybe I''ll rebuild and import the data I have collected....

Hi Matt, is it possible to apply ext formatting formulas to charts? for example the Title or an axis title for a chart , changing de color using textcolor(title, whatever RGB color) different from the chart settings ?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to use FileMaker's text formatting functions on the attributes of a graph if they are not exposed to the calculation engine. If they are modifiable via the calc engine then you can pretty much do what you want.
FileMaker's charts aren't the most flexible in terms of output control. You can always look into using a Web Viewer and taking full control with D3, a javascript visualization library.

Hi Matt. When you use the proper function every word gets a upper. I would like to get only the first and last word with a upper and not the words in between. Like “Alphen aan de Rijn”

Hi Erik. It is possible by using the text functions LeftWords, WordCount, MiddleWords and RightWords and concatenations. But you have also to take into account that typical Dutch character "IJ"; consisting of an "I" and an "J". (Capelle aan de IJssel). The Proper function will only convert the "i" so you'll get "Ij". There's extra work to be done to deal with this typical character in the first and last word.

    For this idea: Trim ( GetValue ( TextFormatRemove ( Self ) ; 1 ) ).
If you have multiple paragraphs it chops off all but the first. How could you write this so it would take the formatting out of any number of paragraphs, while keeping them all? Even some last names are multiples, etc. Thank you for these videos, they are excellent.
