You are so gifted. These turtles are truly magnificent! Save the sea turtles! I wish you had quickly let us see you adding the colors to his upper shell. I think some green and beige and others? Best of You Tube! Thank you
I'm the head of your fan club. This is a amazing work. I've seen something like this being done before. I just love your work. This should be on your store for $100 or more. Someone will buy this for some.
so half glad I subbed so I didn't miss this. its fantastic they are sooo cute and life like and love the whole finished piece with the shells I was just out at the beach today looking for nice shells and stones☺. This is the kind of thing that would fly off the shelves if you had a shop so unique.!! Its great to see you using your talents in different ways so many people let there talents go to waste thank you very much for taking the time to share your creations😊😊
I like making things with polymer clay on occasion. Usually about once a year. My sister really wants this to put on her desk at work. She thinks if she continues to ask me for it, I'll break down and give it to her for Christmas.
You were smiled upon by the Creative Gods. I love everything you do. So detailed and different, some are whimsical, others are so real. You have a wide range of talent! I'm envious, I lack in that dept. tho I do try to copy some crafty type things. TFS.
Thank you! I tend to get bored when I only work in one style, so I tend to switch it up :) I was fortunate to be born into a long line of artsy people.
That was actually my original plan, but then when I was holding it in place just to make sure that the turtles fit properly, I decided I liked the almost steam punk appearance of the wire. But that is definitely a preference and you can do it any way you like :)
Beautiful work. I like your idea with the stand. Mind you I thought you were going to disguise the wire to look like seaweed. Either way you have a great piece there!
You did a really Awesome job chickie! What kind of Fine Detail paintbrush are you using? Most all of my FD brushes are crap, lol...bristles fall out etc.....
Thank you! The brush that I used for their spots I actually bought from China Town in San Francisco. It's one of my favorite brushes and has held up for 3 years. I don't have any idea where to buy another one and I get asked about it all the time. I wish I had bought 50 of them when I was there. The really small liner brush that has the pink handle is actually for nail art, here's a link to where I bought that one ~ www.bornprettystore.com/nail-liner-brush-transparent-crystal-handled-nail-drawing-liner-brush-tools-p-18519.html
+HotPinkZebraPaper ......oh okay, well, thanks so much for that link. I greatly appreciate it and thanks again for making that video. I love the fact that it's a real sculpture size and not a miniature version like most ppl create. 👍😃👍
Very nice, you have done a great job on these turtles. It will be interesting to see what you come up with next. I see someone asked if you can use air dry epoxy to do this and the answer is yes. The air dry epoxies difference is you have about 1 hour work time. Some have a little more. The good thing is you can add more layers which can come in handy depending on what your sculpting and for large sculptures that don't fit in an oven that is the logical choice. Any way, you can pass that on if you wish. Love your work, Billy Dillard, BillyDillardArt.
I thought you couldnt bake masking tape in the oven, do you have to adjust your baking time? Or did you just bake it normally that you would with anything else?
You can bake the masking tape without a problem. The backing is paper and doesn't get effected at all. The adhesive dries up in the oven but as long as the clay is over it everything stays in place.
The turtle is just super! Really like your work. Only here the video is constantly in an accelerated mode, it is not entirely clear what should happen. It is necessary to at least stop at the stages and show a close-up
But then we would have too much information and she did not wish to share the specifics. Notice how the shell goes from Matt brown as she’s sketching in the white lines and then it abruptly skips to the shell already mottled with several other colors which make it look more realistic.
Ummmmm, from start to finish, I'd about 3-4 hours. The one is slightly smaller than the other so that one was a bit quicker. I made this sculpture over 4 days, but I didn't spend the entire day on it.
I don't know where you live, in the US it can be bought from just about any craft store like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. A popular brand is Fimo. Otherwise I sure it can be found online somewhere :)
This has not been purchased. Feel free to send me a message on Facebook or Instagram or an email at hotpinkzebrapolish@hotmail.com for more information.
This belongs in a museum!!

All the shells I used are ones that I have found at the beach in New Jersey, Mexico and California.
Lovely piece of work👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌👌👍👍

Artistic Indeed. Muy Bien
inspiring, Motivational, Creative.
Thank you!
That's beautiful! I wonder what else you can come up with!
I love turtles...great job....
Very nice, but I think you should cover the wire to make it look like seaweed. You could use paper mache so you don't have to worry about baking.
That was actually my original plan, but then when I was holding it in place just to make sure that the turtles fit properly, I decided I liked the almost steam punk appearance of the wire. But that is definitely a preference and you can do it any way you like :)
This is just beautiful

Beautiful work. I like your idea with the stand. Mind you I thought you were going to disguise the wire to look like seaweed. Either way you have a great piece there!

This is really nice, thanks for sharing 🐸
This is very cool! I'm going to try and make this today. Thanks for the tutorial :)
Just 1 word... WAUW 😲😍😍
what wire did you use and how did you get it to stay in the circled wood piece?
This is Beautiful! I love it.💞🐢😁

Excellent job!
Beautiful.
OHHHHH MYY GODDDDDDDD You deserve more attention, keep up the astounding work!!!!
Thank you!
I loved your turtles. What kind of paints did you use
Acrylic craft paint, mostly Americana brand :)
Beautifully!

How long did it take to make one turtle start to finish? They're beautiful!
I'm not sure, I made this a few years back. I would estimate about 10-15 hours.
Its still really cute though 🐢🍃
Amazing job!! I would have benefitted much more though if the video wasn't sped up quite so much. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, it amazing
Thank you!
by the way thats a pretty good sea turtle,i love It🐢💖😍
wow😘so lovely...what kind of clay do u use??
I use oven baked polymer clay
шикарно, я в восторге 👏
hi i have something to ask. what paints ?
I thought you couldnt bake masking tape in the oven, do you have to adjust your baking time? Or did you just bake it normally that you would with anything else?
You can bake the masking tape without a problem. The backing is paper and doesn't get effected at all. The adhesive dries up in the oven but as long as the clay is over it everything stays in place.
okay thanks :)
beautiful turtle but very hard to watch because of the speed. I tried slowing it down but felt like it was skipping chunks even more.
Fantastic
Thank you!
could you do that a little faster?? I missed it lol
Love this video! You probably stated this in the video, but which type of paint did you use - oil or acrylic?
I used acrylic :)
thank you so much !
The turtle is just super! Really like your work. Only here the video is constantly in an accelerated mode, it is not entirely clear what should happen. It is necessary to at least stop at the stages and show a close-up

What are the colors you have used and the color numbers and names i’’ planing to go today and buy everything to make it
I'm not sure of the exact selection of colors that I used. Any combination of browns, creams and greens will turn out :)
wonderful!
Great! Bravissima!
Could you use Air drying clay for sculpting as well? :D
I have never worked with air dry clay before so I don't know the ins and outs of it. I would imagine it would work just fine though :)
Very good but I could not keep up with the speed
Do you think I could do this with paper clay I have smoth paper clay that feels just like polymer but it just airdrys
Absolutely! There shouldn't any trouble using a different kind of clay :)
You used acrylic colour right?
Yes!
How long did it take to create one turtle?
Ummmmm, from start to finish, I'd about 3-4 hours. The one is slightly smaller than the other so that one was a bit quicker. I made this sculpture over 4 days, but I didn't spend the entire day on it.
where do you get polymer clay
I don't know where you live, in the US it can be bought from just about any craft store like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. A popular brand is Fimo. Otherwise I sure it can be found online somewhere :)
Beautiful!! Which polymer clay are you using?
Thank you! I use Original Sculpey, I like to use a fairly soft clay.
👍👍💪 super travail !
In my opinion it's really good but it's to fast I actually got dizzy 😂
Agree, I've watched people do these and a little fast forward is helpful but this is unwatchable :c
So slow it down and quit complaining!
@@joyceengland3947 Thank you...I didn't realize you could slow these things down. I learned something new today.
Love it!!!! 😘
БРАВО!!!
I'm my mom's daughter and I love turtles lol!!!!!!!!
I'm my mom's daughter too! I know what you mean, but I could resist :)
Wow!!
What type of clay did u use ?
HotPinkZebraPaper is there a certain brand of polymer clay
Sculpey is probably the most well known brand.
Thank you 😊 for sharing
Lovely
No bake?
Yes, it is an oven bake clay. I believe it's 15 minutes per 1/4 inch of thickness at 275 degree f.
did you bake the turtle before painting it?
Yes.
This is amazing, but you should've sculpted some seaweed to cover the copper wires :)
That was actually my original plan, then when I saw how it turned out I like the slightly steam punk look with the exposed copper wire.
I would purchase this. Has someone bought this yet?
This has not been purchased. Feel free to send me a message on Facebook or Instagram or an email at hotpinkzebrapolish@hotmail.com for more information.
beautiful :)
