That is not true. While yes we have a higher number of deaths besides Ace and Whitebeard we have to acknowledge why the others aren't counted as often. The rest of those deaths weren't as hard hitting because by the time they died Oda either played a fair out death and messed with the audience's feelings towards the characters actually dying or the death felt out of place. Oda is great at a lot but he has dug himself a huge hole when it comes to many believing a character is dead.@@Aether_GM

In Onigashima there was giant metal sword coming out the skull that I was hoping kid would use with his DF powers. With Elbalf and all these giant metal weapons I can see Kid making a comeback

As a Kidd fan, I definitely think Oda has set up a come back with Kidd. Even though Luffy is my favorite character in the story, I really want Kidd to be an equal rival to him. He already has the Haki, he could get the advanced version by having to fight someone like Kat did with Luffy. This could be the time for him to reflect and get better. He knows about Advanced Haki due to fighting Kaido and Big Mom along with him seeing Luffy using it. Another point is the defeat he had against Shanks, the narrator dialogue was very similar to the Strawhats when they were defeated pre timeskip. I think this will be Kidd’s and his crews timeskip. They did the opposite of the Strawhats, were they went straight to the New World, while the Strawhats trained and the main three learned Haki with teachers. Kidd and Killer knows Haki, I’m guessing similar to Ace in a sense of them unlocking it through fighting and realizing what they are doing. Since Kidd unlocked it himself, I think he’ll get a teacher to fully unlock his potential. Same with Killer, not sure about Heat and Wire though.
Another aspect that ties the three together is that Kid’s backstory was that of a hero. He liberated his home island because of his childhood friend being killed by the elites of the Island. Too bad it was only in an SBS, but that makes this theory of redemption seem possible.
The Strawhats aren't in Elbaf right now. The Strawhats have been shrunk down. That is not a Giant and instead a Holy Knight. Kidd come back, Morj needs a win right now.
Ive been telling friends that kidd and law are going to team up for the exact reasons u mentioned. Thats the only way their weak crews can compete. And this the only viable way these two characters can be relevant in the story because there crew is too weak to at least seem formidable for any emperors or faction competing for the one piece
The green hair girl on Kid crew looked like she’s related fishman. The reason I think so is because she has shark like teeth, kinda like how jack teeth hinted that he’s a fishman before Oda revealed it. She was also the 1st person to notice the giants attack, so maybe she avoided the attack and plans to save Kid/Killer since they can’t swim. If she’s not a fishman then I could see other giants that aren’t affiliated with Shanks would save Kid crew. After wano he’s known worldwide for killing BM, who’s Elbaf biggest enemy after what she did as a child. So if my fishman theory isn’t true, then the giants would be the people to save his crew to repay a debt.
My theory would be: Law will become the Whitebeard for Luffy and Kid will become the Kaido for Luffy All are strong pirate captains, but friends at heart.
Kidds backstory the one that Oda already talked about just like he did with Law's backstory before Dressrosa is on my agenda for this arc and it will be fire 🔥

@Mr Morj Too add to the Kidd & Law team up. Law did the same thing with the Strawhats. He wasn’t under Luffy rather it was a team up. So him forming an alliance with Kidd (in story) would be likely since he already did that once before. And he was away from his crew too. Just following the beat…
I love kid and luffy’s dynamic in the udan prison with them competing with them both easily caring stone blocks back and forth that’s what made me think of Kidd as rival to luffy and that he has the potential to go up against him
To add more weight to parallels and foils, Luffy mirrors Kaido in many ways. The most obvious lines are their shared dreams of being at the top/fame and inspiration from a living legend. The way they view strength has interesting subversions as well with Kaido seeing the proof of one's strength as their ability to control, while Luffy sees it in the freedom he can gain. Both of them are also short for their race's representation in the One Piece canon! 😂😂😂 I personally think the most on-the-nose parallel is the fact "Kaido" roughly translates to "Joyboy" while Luffy actually mirrors what we know of Joyboy
All that was to say, maybe the design and philosophy similarities are an intentional mark of Shanks and Kid being set up to foil each other in major ways
Once Luffy learns what Shanks did to Kid and Barto and what Blackbeard did to Law, I wonder how he'll react. I can't imagine his attitude towards BB shifting much but with Shanks there's some intrigue there. Mixed emotions. Seems like they have to clash at some point, it's being set up at least.

For years, I always thought that Kids ultimate role was as a peer for Luffy. When he can acknowledge that Luffy is his better, and give up rivaling him, then Luffy will truly be acknowledged as king of the pirates. I do think it is a wasted opportunity if Kidd's story is done with. I just don't see him as teaming up with Law. I could see Law joining Cross Guild before that, as he was also a former Warlord. Plus Cross Guild needs the boost in membership. Along with maybe Wevil and maybe a few others to get to a ten man roster. But Kidd is too much like Luffy. He has to forge his own path.
I love the fact that we've finally reached Elbaf but we're still guessing about what's going to happen. So much has been potentially set up, from Big Mom's backstory, to the texts from Ohara, to the Man Marked by Flame. I definitely can see Kid factoring in heavily in the final saga.
I think the reason Kidd is overlooks cause most people love Law.. I've always Loved Kidd cause he is direct and diesn't scheme like Law. So, Law is more like Blackbeard and Kidd is more like Luffy.
The thing no One understand is That the RAID FAILED... Luffy died and everything was Lost. If it wasnt for G5 and all the lore related to Nika That was quite hard to predict, the raid was clearly going to fail. Morj was not wrong, he was misslead 🙃

Only half way through you might have addressed this but rockstar us also a red hair pirate and his name rockstar fits perfectly with kid crew dynamic who have rock based names like gig who name fits with a name for a small concern for upcoming bands. Also in a sbs oda named and drew all of kid crew saying he has 31 menbers including himself but he drew n named 22 ppl. So hes missing 9 crew mates. I think these 9 will be additional members who will completely change kids crew dynamic and will help raise him up
I hope that this is true, because Kid’s ending so far has just been lackluster. Also, I hope this signifies Big Mom coming back and learning the truth about Mother Caramel and the other children, and why the Giants hate her so much.

Great video. Since the chapter when Shanks defeated him, I strongly believe that Kid will comeback as a stronger & more humbled version of himself rather than become at least another Moriah. I even believe the same may apply to Bartolomeo regardless on how saves him.

I told a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago that if the silhouette from the last vignette of chapter 1224 was, as many speculated, Scopper Gaban, Kid would make a comeback as his pupil, making parallels between the relation of rivalry that already bounds him and Luffy and the hypothetic relation of rivalry that could bound Gaban and Rayleigh as left and right hand men of the past Pirate King, given the type of relation existing between Sanji and Zoro, the left and right hand men of the next Pirate King.
Seeing people bring up Gaban is almost as funny to me as people bringing up Bogard. These characters barely have 3 lines put together and y’all really think they’re gonna do anything this late in the series? I just don’t see it.
I had always theorized that Kidd is the Luffy that never had a mentor. I also think Shanks during his time when he was going back and forth to Fuschia Village, is specifically going back and forth between islands to look for Roger's successor, and Shanks I believe had 3 prospects: Blackbeard - which he immediately ruled out after Teach gave him a scar. Ace - in which his attention shifted to Luffy Kidd - in which he would go to South Blue when he is away from East Blue. I believe he was testing out Luffy and Kidd, going back and forth from East Blue and South Blue to to see who is "worthy" of getting Roger's hat (I would also not be surprised if Shanks "accidentally" made Kidd eat his devil fruit just like how I think Shanks "accidentally" did with Luffy)....I am in the idea that Roger specifically planned out this entire thing before he died and specifically instructed his crew to wait at certain points in the world as "checkpoints" for the holder of the strawhat and he gave Shanks the strawhat to give him the responsibility of picking out his "successor" I believe Roger specifically discovered and instructed that Shanks that the one who would receive the strawhat SHOULD be on "D" lineage (reason why I believe Kidd is definitely a D) And Kidd's entire grudge against Shanks is because he was not chosen to receive Shanks' strawhat...Shanks is Kidd's hero from the start just like Luffy, but his idolization of Shanks turned to resentment. I believe this is a reference to the Biblical story of Jacob and Esau, Jacob, the biblical God's "chosen one", the one who saw the stairway to heave and wrestled with god (Skypiea, Enel) and Esau who is a redheaded brother who got Isaac's "blessing" (strawhat) stolen from him
Kidd having Red Hair makes me think that he could be a Figarland. Like why else would he have would have red hair? Imagine if in Elbaf (where it's likely the god knights will be present) Kidd finds out that he is somehow related to Shanks. It's a crackpot theory, but who knows.

There’s plenty more examples of this but as long as a character isn’t dead in the op verse they’re constantly getting stronger. Oda didn’t give kid conquerors haki for nothing… he’s definitely getting a major power up when he comes back.

Crocodile and Lucci had 2 years to train. Kid most likely already hit his peak in Wano, both in strength and most definitely as far as it goes for plot relevance. Law should be the one relevant out of the two since not only we've known him for longer but he also has a goal outside being the PK (meaning of the will of D.) but also has the "immortality" surgery that can come in handy later on. Kid has nothing. He lost all.
Eustass kid and Trafalgar law are both close to Kuzuki Oden level at this stage as for his confrontation with Shanks Eustass kid attacked the fleet because he saw them as a threat to the safety of his crew so it was defense of his crew he wasnt expecting Shanks to attack from nowhere suddenly appearing who was also coincidentally attacking kid because to defend his pirate crew both Shanks and Eustass kid were trying to defend their crews that is way both were panicked it wasn't a fight it was more of incident and when kid pirates saw their captain injured and knocked they got panicked so they told shanks to leave Thier captain alone and take their road poneglyfs. Shanks accepted the deal and let Kid live this wasn't a battle it was more of a incident.

The reason I think so is because she has shark like teeth, kinda like how jack teeth hinted that he’s a fishman before Oda revealed it. She was also the 1st person to notice the giants attack, so maybe she avoided the attack and plans to save Kid/Killer since they can’t swim.
If she’s not a fishman then I could see other giants that aren’t affiliated with Shanks would save Kid crew. After wano he’s known worldwide for killing BM, who’s Elbaf biggest enemy after what she did as a child. So if my fishman theory isn’t true, then the giants would be the people to save his crew to repay a debt.
My theory would be:
Law will become the Whitebeard for Luffy
and Kid will become the Kaido for Luffy
All are strong pirate captains, but friends at heart.

@Mr Morj Too add to the Kidd & Law team up. Law did the same thing with the Strawhats. He wasn’t under Luffy rather it was a team up. So him forming an alliance with Kidd (in story) would be likely since he already did that once before. And he was away from his crew too.

To add more weight to parallels and foils, Luffy mirrors Kaido in many ways. The most obvious lines are their shared dreams of being at the top/fame and inspiration from a living legend. The way they view strength has interesting subversions as well with Kaido seeing the proof of one's strength as their ability to control, while Luffy sees it in the freedom he can gain. Both of them are also short for their race's representation in the One Piece canon! 😂😂😂 I personally think the most on-the-nose parallel is the fact "Kaido" roughly translates to "Joyboy" while Luffy actually mirrors what we know of Joyboy
All that was to say, maybe the design and philosophy similarities are an intentional mark of Shanks and Kid being set up to foil each other in major ways
Once Luffy learns what Shanks did to Kid and Barto and what Blackbeard did to Law, I wonder how he'll react. I can't imagine his attitude towards BB shifting much but with Shanks there's some intrigue there. Mixed emotions. Seems like they have to clash at some point, it's being set up at least.

For years, I always thought that Kids ultimate role was as a peer for Luffy. When he can acknowledge that Luffy is his better, and give up rivaling him, then Luffy will truly be acknowledged as king of the pirates. I do think it is a wasted opportunity if Kidd's story is done with.
I just don't see him as teaming up with Law. I could see Law joining Cross Guild before that, as he was also a former Warlord. Plus Cross Guild needs the boost in membership. Along with maybe Wevil and maybe a few others to get to a ten man roster.
But Kidd is too much like Luffy. He has to forge his own path.
I love the fact that we've finally reached Elbaf but we're still guessing about what's going to happen. So much has been potentially set up, from Big Mom's backstory, to the texts from Ohara, to the Man Marked by Flame. I definitely can see Kid factoring in heavily in the final saga.

Only half way through you might have addressed this but rockstar us also a red hair pirate and his name rockstar fits perfectly with kid crew dynamic who have rock based names like gig who name fits with a name for a small concern for upcoming bands.
Also in a sbs oda named and drew all of kid crew saying he has 31 menbers including himself but he drew n named 22 ppl. So hes missing 9 crew mates. I think these 9 will be additional members who will completely change kids crew dynamic and will help raise him up
I think the story will need kids devil fruit to help build the ancient weapons, just a guess.

I told a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago that if the silhouette from the last vignette of chapter 1224 was, as many speculated, Scopper Gaban, Kid would make a comeback as his pupil, making parallels between the relation of rivalry that already bounds him and Luffy and the hypothetic relation of rivalry that could bound Gaban and Rayleigh as left and right hand men of the past Pirate King, given the type of relation existing between Sanji and Zoro, the left and right hand men of the next Pirate King.
Seeing people bring up Gaban is almost as funny to me as people bringing up Bogard. These characters barely have 3 lines put together and y’all really think they’re gonna do anything this late in the series? I just don’t see it.

I had always theorized that Kidd is the Luffy that never had a mentor.
I also think Shanks during his time when he was going back and forth to Fuschia Village, is specifically going back and forth between islands to look for Roger's successor, and Shanks I believe had 3 prospects:
Blackbeard - which he immediately ruled out after Teach gave him a scar.
Ace - in which his attention shifted to Luffy
Kidd - in which he would go to South Blue when he is away from East Blue.
I believe he was testing out Luffy and Kidd, going back and forth from East Blue and South Blue to to see who is "worthy" of getting Roger's hat (I would also not be surprised if Shanks "accidentally" made Kidd eat his devil fruit just like how I think Shanks "accidentally" did with Luffy)....I am in the idea that Roger specifically planned out this entire thing before he died and specifically instructed his crew to wait at certain points in the world as "checkpoints" for the holder of the strawhat and he gave Shanks the strawhat to give him the responsibility of picking out his "successor"
I believe Roger specifically discovered and instructed that Shanks that the one who would receive the strawhat SHOULD be on "D" lineage (reason why I believe Kidd is definitely a D)
And Kidd's entire grudge against Shanks is because he was not chosen to receive Shanks' strawhat...Shanks is Kidd's hero from the start just like Luffy, but his idolization of Shanks turned to resentment.
I believe this is a reference to the Biblical story of Jacob and Esau, Jacob, the biblical God's "chosen one", the one who saw the stairway to heave and wrestled with god (Skypiea, Enel) and Esau who is a redheaded brother who got Isaac's "blessing" (strawhat) stolen from him

Crocodile went from getting defeated by pre ts luffy, to holding off akainu and Mihawk, to getting a 1.9 billion berry bounty. Lucci went from getting beaten by pre ts luffy to equally fighting against current zoro. There’s plenty more examples of this but as long as a character isn’t dead in the op verse they’re constantly getting stronger. Oda didn’t give kid conquerors haki for nothing… he’s definitely getting a major power up when he comes back.

Kid most likely already hit his peak in Wano, both in strength and most definitely as far as it goes for plot relevance.
Law should be the one relevant out of the two since not only we've known him for longer but he also has a goal outside being the PK (meaning of the will of D.) but also has the "immortality" surgery that can come in handy later on.

Eustass kid and Trafalgar law are both close to Kuzuki Oden level at this stage as for his confrontation with Shanks Eustass kid attacked the fleet because he saw them as a threat to the safety of his crew so it was defense of his crew he wasnt expecting Shanks to attack from nowhere suddenly appearing who was also coincidentally attacking kid because to defend his pirate crew both Shanks and Eustass kid were trying to defend their crews that is way both were panicked it wasn't a fight it was more of incident and when kid pirates saw their captain injured and knocked they got panicked so they told shanks to leave Thier captain alone and take their road poneglyfs. Shanks accepted the deal and let Kid live this wasn't a battle it was more of a incident.
