I remember Christmas Around The World! Still have some. With that said, my favorite is the deer. The bears are cute too! Have a great week & stay safe out there.
My favourites are the humming bird trinket book and the small light up tree I look forward to seeing your display and hope you find other pieces to add to it T
I sold Christmas Around the World back in the day, too - you’re right, SO much paperwork! And organizing those home parties. I didn’t last too long at it, but I had fun with it for a while. My favorites are the piano rolls (we had a player piano at our summer house in Upstate NY), and the little white ceramic individual creamer with the face. Hugs, and Happy New Year!
I did so many of those at home party things. So happy I don't do that anymore and I only have my booth. I have so much more fun with my booth than I had with any of those other adventures. Hugs.
My favorite was the player piano rolls. We had one when I was little. I.loved it. The deer 🦌 are beautiful. Hope you had a nice holiday. Blessings in the New Year. Hugs to all ❤❤❤
My favorite are the ornaments! You can tell they're vintage by the boxes. I can splitting them would make more money! The hair recepticals are extremely interesting! I have a story... my family went out to see a historical farm in Minnesota! They had tours of the ancient farmhouse. On the wall was a picture box with these beautiful flowers. It was hair spun into these flowers, very intricate. That was one lovely items l saw from a hair receptical. The house was from the 1800s. Jewelry would be quite interesting to see. Love your show! You are quite knowledgeable!
I would guess the people discussing the rainbow mug probably thought it was a Pride mug. It could be because the symbol came into being in 1978. However, the colors are different on this mug. Who knows.
I don’t remember Christmas Around the World, but I love those deer! I also love the hair receptacles. Little chips don’t bother me. It’s a great little haul! Your ideas for next Christmas sounds delightful. I have no doubt you’ll host a wonderful celebration!
I always love Christmas around the world. They made such great decor!! Deer is probably my favorite but the chicken egg plate is so stinking cute. 🥰 Happy New Years
Hi Joanne, I love the egg plate as well as the deer. I am so glad you will be keeping them. Just to let you know, Lillian loved her doll that I bought from you this year. She was thrilled. I told where it came from and that it was the first Christmas gift I purchased back in the late spring or early summer. Thanks for letting us shop with you on line. I hope you and Kaitlin have a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year.
I am so glad to hear that Lillian loves her new doll. Thank you for letting me know. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing all the best in 2025. Hugs always.
The deers are pretty. Hair Receivers were used into the forties! The bundles of hair were called rats and incorporated into the rolls and various hairdos of the time.
Gosh Joanne, you and I have much the same taste. I too used to sell Christmas for that company and I too have those white deer. The flower frog is wonderful and so is the rooster egg plater. Just love your hauls. Happy New Year.
Hi Joanne, enjoyed Wednesday’s live stream !!! The white deer are my favorite today. Snuggles to the crew, Happy New Year, take care and hope to run into you and Rhonda in the near future ❣️😊
So glad you were able to join us for a while Christmas morning. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy 2025. We have to run into each other.........I owe you money LOL!!! Hugs.
My favorites were the deers. I have several items from Christmas Around the World items that were from my early married days. I bet it was a hassle taking orders and getting them out in pre internet days! Happy New Year to you and yours!
Every thrift store has tons of mugs!!! I love Ray Dunn stuff. I have 2 garden tools and 2 storage jars from Ray Dunn… my Salvation Army prices them up. A DONATED Ray Dunn piece gets priced up.. ❤ Eileen
That is true isn't it. You can always find tons of mug in just about any thrift store. A lot of places are pricing up RD now along with lots of other stuff. Hugs.
I love the deer too I didn’t sell it but bought more of it than I needed LOL. There is a u-tuber Julie Thrifts that has ideas on her channel for and sells a lot of the piano rolls. I think her crafting channel is called Julie’s Signs and Designs
My favorite is the piano rolls. Yes, I was going to mention Julie to you as well. She has several rolls hanging in a cabinet in her house. Hugs! Happy New Year!
I went down the rabbit hole looking for the little individual creamer with the face. He’s called “Man in the Moon”, and was made in several shades of brown glazes, as well as white with gold painted facial details. He’s vintage (1980s-ish), and may have been manufactured in Canada. Silesia is an area of central/Eastern Europe that is mostly in Poland and the Czech Republic. I have my great-grandmother’s hair receiver - clear glass with silver overlay. She collected her hair after she brushed it, and would put the hair in the receiver until she had enough to fill up a hair net, which she would pin on top of her head to give her hair the appearance of having more volume when she put her hair up each morning.
I love it when you go down rabbit holes. I learn so much. Thanks to some other viewers, I can share with you the hair net filled with your great-grandmother's hair was called a 'hair rat'. Hugs.
Your little face mug is called a Toby. Royal Doulton in England made to use. I have one similar and he’s called Marley and they are painted. I don’t know anything about this white one probably not English. Go on line and type in vintage Royal Doulton Toby mugs and you will see what I’m talking about.
My mother was from a not wealthy family. They collected hair to make “hair rats”. They were used it make rolls they wore fatter. I’ll try to find a picture. They didn’t have receivers.
I remember an older cousin of mine wore a rat in her hair. She had beautiful Auburn hair and wore it in a Page Boy I think it was called. She was a beautiful woman, very tall and very proud of her height.
I remember Christmas Around The World! Still have some. With that said, my favorite is the deer. The bears are cute too! Have a great week & stay safe out there.
I still have my purchases from CATW too. I haven't displayed any of them for years. Maybe it's time to try and sell some of them LOL! Hugs.
My favourites are the humming bird trinket book and the small light up tree I look forward to seeing your display and hope you find other pieces to add to it T
I thought the trinket box was nice as well. I will be looking for houses at really good prices throughout the next year. Hugs.

I don't think it is a pride mug. And you are right, the colors are wrong. Hugs.
