Great timing for this, trying to learn presently.
? : Does placing a tile orthogonally adjacent to a brown square by only one piece & color grant an extra movement on that track cuz I haven’t notice it do that on my current playthrough and I thought it would.
Example, I place a red/blue tile down next to a previously laid brown tile with only one red square touching a single brown square and BGA gave me only two movements: one on blue and one on red (far as I noticed)

Thanks for the question! Movement on the track is only based on the polyomino you just placed. So, if you place a red/blue piece, you get one movement on each of the red and blue tracks (granted you put the blue over ice). I think when you say "brown tile" you mean the Energy resource, or what I refer to as yellow in the video. That resource also gets you movement on a track, but again, only when you place it.
When you place a polyomino with an energy resource on it, you get to pick which of the 5 tracks you move up, with restrictions. You can only move up tracks that are either: on the same polyomino as the energy resource you just placed, or orthogonally adjacent to any of the energy terrain (yellow/brown), when you place it. After placing that energy resource, it does not affect future polyominos or goals. For example, if you use the energy resource to move up the red track, it does not turn into a red terrain for purposes of neighbor or private goals.
Hope this helps; it is the most complicated of the types. Apologies if it wasn't explained well in the video.
