It matters to people struggling with persecution complex because of race. Racism may be real but it's not systemic. It's not government policy unless you consider democratic policies. Keeping people on welfare instead of creating jobs for them is just inhumane. They should have jobs and fathers.

Not everything. Nobody is infallible. Her weakness is her youthful arrogance. She frequently shows conservative bias and boxes people into a judgement or stereotype that she holds others accountable for wrongdoing in the same way which is a contradiction. I can totally relate to your remarks about fatherless homes numbers rising. My husband and I lost jobs that moved to Mexico and lived in a rural area of Missouri. No jobs to be found, we needed help. With head down and my heart crying I went to the Family Services to apply for food stamps and aide. I was asked, "Does your husband reside in your home?" I answered yes. I was told he must move out in order to be eligible. I refused, my kids needed their Dad. My husband walked country roads collecting aluminum cans for over 3 months, daily to feed us. We had no utilities, cooked by camping stove and played UNO at night with the kids by lantern. It was the worst time but it was the best too, as we spent more time together than before. They make families split up in order to eat!!
I am so sorry that you and your family had to endure that and especially the situation with food stamps. That is appalling that you would be "better" off single than together! I hope that you know that you can make it through and I pray that all of you reach a better place soon. Even if it seems impossible, in this country, everything is possible with hard work in which you and your husband believe. God bless all of you!

Many people will empathize with you as I do, but what many do not realize is that many U.S bureaucracies created social circumstances to divide the family. At one point the cost of living was low enough for the man of the house to work and provide for their families. The fact that the father must be absent causes younger teens in poor communitys to become pregnant and have kids outside of marraige in order have a stable income to live on, which has become a problem in minority communities.
I'm proud to say that one of the Baltimore young man who realized he wanted to change his life, worked really hard, listened to my advice, did his homework, and along with a team of people who wanted him to succeed, he joined the Marine Corps. He is now serving our nation in the Seventh Fleet in the Pacific area, and I couldn't be prouder of him.

As a minority person, my parents taught the importance of education. Get an education, learn a trade and don't sit back and think the government should take care of you. Parents also taught the concept of accountability and responsibility if we chose to break the law. I'm not rich but I am capable of financially providing for my family.

Don't blame us teachers Candace. You're wonderful, but you said prior to that statement that early on, you thought you were a Democrat and Republicans were racist. That's something you learned at home. A vast majority of us get our beliefs and political leaning initially from our parents. Kids come to Kindergarten with various degrees of preparedness for an education. Some can read, many are becoming ready to read, and a disturbingly growing number come as blank slates. They don't know shapes, colors, numbers, or letters. Sad but true. They have to repeat kindergarten because they spent an entire year working with these great teachers trying to catch up to where a normal one should be on the first day of school.
How can that be? I'll tell you how. A growing number of parents forego parenting. Put their kids in a room to watch TV all day. Leave me alone. I like making kids, not raising them. Very young children can't read. They learn by asking questions. All the silly ones we remember with a smile. Why is the sky blue? What's this, what's that? Good parents quiz kids on colors, shapes, letters and numbers. A growing number of parents let the TV educate their kids. It's heartbreaking to see a young child in a kindergarten circle on the floor of the class look around sadly lost because his/her TV parents said leave me alone. Stop asking me questions. Go to your room and watch TV.
This is my lengthier than planned rebuttal Candace. We teach what you send us. If your child is truly your most precious resource, them for God's sake give them a fighting chance at success instead of blaming the very people who have dedicated their lives to helping them.

My brother-in-law teaches in California and has experienced this liberal leaning environment with the faculty and the union. There shouldn't be any surprise because the majority of our universities lean left. If you doubt that just see what happens when a conservative speaker is invited to speak on campus.
I had the fortunate experience to attend a private school for 3 semesters of high school, back in 78-79, in the Fairfax County public school system (one of the country's best) it was 'teach to the test'. memorize over understand. When I went to being taught by Professors at this private school, I went from a C student to an A-B student in one semester.
They focused on learning and THINKING over memorizing for the test. And the overall QUALITY began a steady decline from the 70's 'outcome-based education' to where we are now...which is a shit show of dumb fuckery, producing people who CAN NOT think for themselves

When I was raised to learn that "Why" was a word forbidden to me at home. My Mother took it as a challenge to her authority, in highschool it labeled me "rebellious." I just wanted to know the reasoning, the "whys" behind the "...Because I said so..." Even at age 6, I knew there was a reason for a rule, I wanted to know more, that's all.
It's a shame that is a model for parenting for certain people. I observed that with others when we were raising our kids, and i could see the air leaving these kids sails as their parents constantly "put them in their place". Kids are curious, hell I'm still curious at 55 years of age, but with kids their curiosity needs to be nurtured and fed, not quelled and starved. We as parents make many mistakes. You do society a justice by recognizing this as a mistake your parents made, and not repeating it.
Love to listen to Candace Owens. She has definitely done her homework on our history and what the democratical party is all about and what they have done in the past to black Americans. Keep up the good work Candice You're doing great.

All i wanted is to fit in but when we came to America and entered into high-school i realized that i did not fit in and for some reason lost my sense of wanting to fit in. After raising 3 girls and learning to think for my self and no longer trying to fit in; actually starting to enjoy my outside the box confictions. You remind me of a younger me fighting the school system; not just as a parent but working in the system for 37 years. He is telling Americans that "we are doing great with the coronavirus", He wants to open the economy so he can win the election, and doesnt care how many people suffer or die. He has made wearing a mask into such a political thing. Many Trump supporters won't wear a mask smh. The governor of Georgia is actually suing the mayor of Atlanta (who has covis-19 along with her husband an kids), for imposing a "mask in public places" mandate , like we have in New York. The whole thing has become so politicized, thats why the South (republican states) has the worst infection rate in the world!

This is an interesting set of facts. I wanted to say, I taught high school off and on for an 18 year period, but could never get a decent job for more than a two year period due to having different views and/or different world view. I eventually gave up through some words I said and lost everything in my huge disappointment with the educational system and the way it is. Hey everyone, I heard of a book called “None Dare Call It Education.” I am still looking for a job 20+ years later. Blessings to all of you and the Lord’s best for you.

When they go against their parents they get shamed for being defiant and labelled with mental illness ( typically the scapegoat/black sheep of the family but this can go any children of the family ).
When someone decides to not give into peer pressure they get shamed for it by the group trying to coerce them into thinking as part of the group rather than an *individual*
