The thing that ruins the x240 for me is the lack of dedicated trackpoint buttons. That being said it can be swapped out with the one from the x250 i think.
Just bought 2nd x240 12 pieces for students/ school. I5 4300u, ram 8gb, ssd 256gb. Good condition at price of USD250 ea. At launch time, the price was USD850. How can we go wrong?
Regurgitating specs for a 4 year old laptop when dozens of UA-camrs have done this already? Would be way more informative if you explained whether it had aged gracefully vs. the competition.

I own an x240 but I wish I would have purchased x230. I need a lot of RAM but I can only install up to 8GB. If 8GB RAM is not a issue to you, you can go to x240. The processor wouldn't be much of a difference.
However, everything is just so great about this laptop. with x240 laptop: battery, power, speed performance and build quality, everything is great. It's a thinkpad. What can I say more?

X240 is a perfect machine, IF YOU REPLACE THE TOUCHPAD WITH X250 TOUCHPAD.
