This is what a7x was supposed to write. Instead of getting all weird and soft... Back then it was always atreyu and a7x but I liked a7x alittle more with waking the fallen and city of evil, self titled too...but this album atreyu showed they're asses and shitted on a7x lol
Austin Magsig I agree. The rev is in my eyes the best drummer of all time. I absolutely LOVE sevenfold, don't get me wrong. Their music is gold (or, technically platinum. ehehhehh). Sevenfold is (still) best, but what I was saying wasn't necessarily that Atreyu is better, what I was saying is that this album is close to sevenfold. It is close to perfection. In my eyes, it is (Atreyu, if you read this, take this as one hell of a compliment). Long Live is a marvellous album and it can touch sevenfold. It can't fuck sevenfold, it can't hug sevenfold, but it can touch sevenfold
Have you heard "The Stage" in its entirety, the want to explore different sectors of metal/important concepts/topic? Long Live is was excellent but The Stage from A7X just to me has a stronger feel. Also if you are going off of HTTK, what is wrong of doing a tribute album to the Big Metal/Rock bands that gave them the biggest influence?
