If anyone can do it Sean, it’s you my friend. Really looking forward to this as with all your work. Keep the ‘Slurps’ coming big and loud so we can here you here across the pond 😀 Jase 🇬🇧
Bravo, Italeri. Your kit is a true Star Fighter to assemble. Could have used the word, Round instead of Part in the title. Great job, Sean. I have their newer 1/32 F-35A and a Trumpeter F-35C both are better engineered than the F-104 with tape ups revealing good fit. The Italeri exhaust nozzle is too small however. Replaced both kit nozzles and other items with Reskit resin. The Italeri 1/35 PT-109 boat kit is amazing but there are odd corrections needed to be done for accuracy.
Keep up the great work! These things are sent to try us!! Just a thought, have you tried black CA glue yet as a filler? I’ve tried your CA and metallic pigments before and while it works great, I find black CA works better with less fuss. And doesn’t destroy your sanding sticks nearly as much. Thanks for keeping up great content!
You are a brave man for building this kit in NMF ! . A beautiful plane but such a crappy kit ( I tried a NMF one ). If only someone would produce one today. Good luck on this one !
Man Sean you have way more patience than me haha. It's looking great honestly for what you've had to deal with. Italeri have such great choices in subjects but their execution is far far from ideal lol. I like rooting for them but then every time I crack into one of their kits it's like "well, you tried your best Italeri" I know you'll nail it though. Can't wait to see it all come together.
Well you have certainly fought that model. Its a bit of an expensive one to chuck in the bin but there is a line between pleasurable model making and exasperation, like when every part is a mission on its own to get to fit..
ha i told you those Intakes are a pain ,because i had everything open the rest for me put it together ok but those intakes... if you put the time go on almost perfect but it takes time ! You will get there anyway looks good so far ,in my opinion if you ever going to build another F-104 go for the hasegawa in that scale for what it costs the Italeri is crap
Could be italeri rushed this one through without much test fitting? Some of kitty hawk kits seemed rushed released but now I have read good things on italeris 1/32 mirage & macchi 202!🤔 Jman
I have a great product for you that will replace almost everything you use to fill and re-Sculpt areas like your divot in the air brake. Smooth-on Free Form Air Sculpting Epoxy Dough I cures feather light- actually floats in water after it cures. No shrinking Manipulates and cleans up with water. Very fine and filled the smallest too the largest gaps. Check out my 1/32 Kandom F-16XL thread on the ARC forums. My name is Vidal 710 there.
If there's a medal for model making stoicism, you should certainly be recommended for one! Keep going...... You've got this 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻

F 104 is my fav 50's century series aircraft. And that model is scary big. Like Max says, model on.
It was the dog the USAF and the military industrial complex pawned-off on the vassal NATO nations in the 1960s.
Great Work as always Sean :)
Excellent work and video as ever.!.🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
Coming along nicely!!
Italeri kits can be tough, bro! One made me cry once! I was 6. It was REALLY FRUSTRATING!👺
I think you are doing great Sean! My buddy Gary built one of those in the past and it gave him a good lickin’!
@@dougkuehl312 that Gary is something!
Looking great👍🏻, I have the old Hasegawa

How I wish I could sit beside you and work along side. I’d bring my own supplies of course.

Meant hear you, you get the point 😀🇬🇧
It's not the best kit but with your skills you can make it look right.
I don't touch Italeri anymore after a C-130 1/48 and an F-16 1/48. Lesson learned.
