Hey mate thanks for you feedback and your question. We run a TJM fiberglass canopy that has built in mounting points for the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform. It has been great canopy and easily supports the weight of the gear we have in it full time.
Nice video all the info with out the fluff. Is this their new "endo" tru blu awning or the older tru blu design with the c channel backing plate? How solid is the hinge point on the awning. Looked kind of flimsy when you were setting it up, with a bit of flex. Havnt been able to see one in person so having to rely on internet searches.
Mate this is the original true blue with the c channel and yes it did have a bit of flex, the hinge setup has not changed on the Endo range it is the same, the strength in the new Endo comes from the Endo skeleton frame work and it is much stronger then the original. We should e recently upgraded to the Endo True Blue and love it.
Great awning and video as I have the exact one myself but may I ask why did you put the nuts in the slots first and not the other way around fastening the nuts onto the bolts in the slots in the bracket awning rails?
Hi thanks for your comment, I mainly did that to make it easier to attach the bracket rather then having to slide them a long way with the nuts and bolts already attached.
Hey peeps now U had few months how do u like 270 wrap around awning ? And do U like the rino platform low / easy mount asserts on. ?? This sort system I'm think about put on my new dual cab dmax ,and like U said in previous com do u home work. Cheers safe happy traveling Ian Perth WA
Hey mate, just spoke to Johnny from Bushwakka they have redesigned the T brackets to have the awning sit closer to the rack. This is the link to the new design. www.bushwakka.com.au/collections/awnings/products/heavy-duty-t-platform-brackets Isn’t it great that these guys are so progressive and continually improve their products.
Great informative video guys & we like the awing !! We are no 124 subscriber as we will follow you guys on your travels. Regards from Western Australia !!!!!
Hey mate it was put on the car when it was new in 2015 so it is coming up 6 years old, it is a bit discolored but I wasn’t too worried about it as it has spent its entire life in the harsh nth Queensland sun
@@LowRange4X4Adventures It was a known issue. Pity you didn't know inside 5 years to submit a warranty claim with Rino Rack as they would have likely replaced it. Great after sales support. Maybe reach out anyway :) Kind Regards Dave G
Thanks mate, I contacted TJM in Mackay and spoke to the manager there that has supported us for years and she got it all sorted for me, claim is in to Rhino Rack and they are going to look at it, hopefully they will replace it for us. Once again thanks very much for the heads up I never even thought of it being a warranty issue.
I'm yet to see a proper review of this. No one opens up the canopy back and says whether it hits the top or not. No one discusses the gap at the back and whether rain will just come straight in and No one opens their tailgate with a slide out kitchen/bench and says if the canopy is still covering it. Not to mention, no one shows the add on walls.. Still waiting to find a GOOD and proper review. Hope you guys can make one?
Thanks for the vid mate, what sort of canopy are you running to support this awning? Cheers

Came with the awning mate, maybe give bushwakka a call they might be able to point you in the right direction to get one.
Found them at Bunnings mate

Yeah mate love the awning, check out the second video we did on it as well. Rhino rack platform is great and we have used it extensively.
Great video, do you have a link for the Rhino brackets? I cant seem to find them anywhere.

How old is your platform rack? noting that you have the surface coating issue.

Do the walls sir straight down or on a angle
The walls are on an angle and are a trapezoid shape so that they can be zipped at the top and then Velcro down each side.
