I have 120 or -so cold weather hardy Marquette grapes in my vineyard. They are high top cordon trained, and I'm about to head out and shoot position as I type! We are in SW Wisconsin, Zone 4a so only cold weather grapes will work here. Putting in another row this year to make it 260 vines. Nice to find another small vineyard on UA-cam!

I love the work you are putting into your new series. It's very inspirational! 👍
I began growing grapes in the 1990's and making wine in the foothills of San Diego. Then I went commercial, buying grapes from other people's vineyards (CA central coast) and making wine in Paso Robles.
Now, I've just started transitioning back to growing grapes (Pinot Noir & Merlot) and making non-commercial wine at a friend's place in the wine country of Los Olivos California. I'm planning to put out similar "vine to wine" weekly educational videos. But mine will be different in that it will have a spirituality of wine slant in which I will give motivational "possibility thinking" insights based upon analogies derived from the process of growing grapes & making wine.

Hello from North Central Washington. We have a lot of vineyards in our area, so I am putting in table grapes. These are purely for our eating pleasure. I have watch several of your videos and gained a great deal, thank you! We also fight the pocket gophers here, so I am creating 1/2 x 1/2 “ hardware cloth baskets to plant my starts in. I have question about the watering system. Why put the watering system on the lowest wire and not on the ground? We had 196” of snow last winter, so I see the watering lines being an additional snow load item along with the vine itself. I look forward to hearing from you on this matter. Dan

68 bottles of wine. At Costco the kit to make that many bottles of wine costs less than $100. Just saying you can make a small fortune from a vineyard... that is as long as you have a large fortune to start with. Don't get me wrong. I love my vineyard, but not for profit. It is all about self sufficiency, lifestyle and a fun hobby for me.
