I mean you know what it's about but not read his own word, re-think his thoughts...

I know the summary is time-saving and it really helps when we are short on time but a summary is the interpretation of a text by the second person and you'd be third listening to it so, the actual thoughts of the writer would get tempered till reaching you. Hence, its always better to read ...

This one requires reading it 2-3 times to really appreciate the work and have your own interpretation of the subject matter.

School didn’t push it on me. Not even a few years at university did the book meet my thoughts. I’m 27 now and just finished reading it. It’s beautiful, smart, creative, just awesome.

*Agreed! I slowed the speed down. It was even, more well paced than the original. I also found a slower speed to be rather enticing.*

Beneicently: the extreme, detatched enthusiasm is crazy unappealing. i would suggest speaking trying to connect with/relay to the audience and not merely to entertain (which, that's prbably what this guy's thinking he's doing).

Our broader society (and I am a transcendentalist at heart) cannot relate to Thoreau. That's cool. I'm in.

I find his energy distracting and completely misplaced. Totally unnecessary. Had it not been for that and the silly music, it would have been a half decent attempt at an "in depth analysis".

"A large house contains not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay. Some indeed are for honorable use, but others are for common use. So if anyone cleanses himself of what is unfit,c he will be a vessel for honor: sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.
Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
But reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling. And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will." - 2 Timothy 2

Next time use an AI speaker or hire someone with voice and dictation classes. This actor’s narration is like listening to a fork scrape a chalkboard, and I completely lost the point of the content.
