That thing is awesome. I’d do your budget friendly “additions” as long as you don’t have to take it to far apart. So in other words. Do some stuff to it and enjoy it
Eh, to 🤔 Had me dying. Please CAFE RACER STYLE! Such a great platform for that style! “L” meant it was a cruiser type setup. There was a “S” model that had different fairings that stood for sport and I think there is a base model “E” or something like that.
@@LoganDidItYT a gsx400 was offered in the years before the 450. Not sure if that is what the X designation you’re referring to. There was a T model, I believe that one had standard rear springs and the front suspension is NOT air adjustable like the rest I think. Swapping over to the early 90s gsx-r forks is a bolt on affair. Gives you dual disc brakes and most do that anyway.
The wood is? Purple Heart decking... I say leave the rust and "patina" and just fix it to ride, leave it stock. GS = Gran Sport X = Inline 4 with 4 valves per cylinder R = Racing F = Faired V = V configuration of motor

That’s what I plan on doing! Well, at least for this first phase of it.

Haha. Hey, thanks for the info too. I saw a T and X but not sure what years those were offered…

@@Knownworldwide that’s actually really cool. I haven’t dove too far into all those things for this bike yet. But, dang, I need to.

You’re right, Purple Heart! And, it’s interested you say that about the patina… you may want to watch the next video on it!
