  • After a very successful 10 months in the United States of America, my exchange year came to an end. As an icing on the cake for my exchange year, I was chosen to be a student speaker at the End of Stay reception at Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
I gave my best throughout the year to make it successful and to make my stay in the United States remarkable and memorable. My goal from the beginning was to use my time in the USA preciously and to have something that I can be proud of after finishing the exchange year.
I am grateful that I was chosen among all the exchange students to be a student speaker and that was proof for me that I achieved my goal and that I can be proud of what I did during the time I spent in a completely new country, even the continent and at the place where I didn't know anyone before I came.
This was one of my best memories in those 10 months and I couldn't ever imagine that I would be able to talk about my exchange year in front of the other exchange students, YES program, American Councils and U.S. State Department officials.
I am proud that I once again proved to myself that the Miley Cyrus quote "If you believe in yourself anything is possible" is really true.
I hope that you will enjoy listening to my speech and that you will find it interesting and motivational. My goal with posting this video is to tell you how amazing it is to be an exchange student and I hope that you will use every opportunity that you get for studying abroad.
