sure ! the function of Tone Shift is to make the pronunciation brighter or darker. Negative value will make vowels rounder and tone darker, while positive will make them brighter and more nasal. You can combine it with tension to get different effects
As in, do I think An XIAO is a better Voicebank or Kevin? Hard choice.. Here’s my opinion: An Xiao: - Slightly wider range - Is better with cross language synthesis (sounds good in Chinese, Jpn, and English) - Reacts better to parameter changes like vocal modes and tension - Has better instant mode tuning - Doesn’t have as nasal of a voice However, Kevin’s English is clearer and he has that “‘musical theater kid” voice that I really like. I think that An Xiao is the better voicebank overall, but Kevin just suits my needs better. I use Kevin more than a lot of other VBs I have, even if he isn’t as good, just because he suits the song better LMAO. So, it really depends on what types of songs you think you’re going to cover more often If you’re going to cover more pop/rock and are gonna cover songs in different languages, An Xiao would be better. But if you were gonna cover more classical, alt, musical or folk songs and will cover songs in mostly English, Kevin would be better
@@ChristhirtythreeAD I love Mo Chen, but his voice is actually very gentle, I wouldn't consider him well suited to rock. They recently released a couple of new Chinese vocals specifically for rock, Cong Zheng and Xuan Yu. Other vocals that have a pretty good range for rock are An Xiao, Stardust, and Solaria
