According to Deleuze, the entire "bio-psychic life" is a matter of layers and foldings. Here he explains, how this insight plays into his dialogue with Foucault and why it is necessary to describe the "outside of thought."
As a puppet, however, he is confronted with the fact that his own figure is a result of folding fabrics and fleeces, resulting in an empty center that, despite this fact, has a life of its own.
Deleuze has the uncanny ability to be figurative and literal at the same time.
"I think I should discuss this with Foucault" 😆
I love these videos, thank you! 🙂
Thank you!😀
I love this so much!! Is it possible you could make a video summarizing the Foucault Chomsky debate?
These puppets are getting brighter and brighter, even scary…
Fantastic Great exposition
Thx!
It's uncanny how these recent videos speak to very elements of Deleuze's thought I'm currently preoccupied with, some movement in the great anonymous murmur ?
PS Would love to see a recreation of Prof Challenger's legendary " great epistemological dialogue of the dead in puppet theatre style" !!
Murmur or not, there is always movement.
I am really moved by the sentence “There is always only an outside world, which is folded until an inside world emerges.” Are these Deleuze's words? Or did you come up with it? I would like to quote it (with source) for the liner notes of a music album that I am producing, with your permission.
Oh, these are the words of the puppet, you cannot find them exactly like this in his writings...
@PiergiorgioPirro It's been a long time and you probably aren't interested anymore but i've found source of a similar quote by Deleuze. In his work about Foucault he said something about Foucault being focused on „ le dedans comme pli du dehors" which translates as „the inside as a fold from the outside".
@@d4compl3x42 Great, thank you!
Amazing video!
Thank you!
Terrifying yet edifying 😅
Can somebody perhaps tell me what Deleuzes wirtings were used? Especially where he talks about the way central nervous system developed from the skin?
You can find references in the subtitles.
“There are no interiors”
Man Sesame Street took a really weird turn since they switched to HBO.
