I love how, without the original canon, this is just some random old guy Luke met in a swamp when he was a teenager, and now, out of nowhere, when Luke has been retired for several dozen years - he reappears as a ghost and uses mysterious powers to blow up a tree and set it ablaze instantly, and then proceeds to rant about some nonsense about his stick and regretful past financial decisions.
He summons the Power of Boogie! Which has kept his Spirit Alive all those decades¹ after his death!
