A few people have made this comment so I'll just repeat, I didn't use a primer because: 1) the paint used was paint + primer 2) I was following the instructions on the paint can. I didn't put on a clear coat afterwards because the instructions specifically state not to use one. Also, the case already felt too thick/sticky after two coats of paint - it would've been worse to have that clear coat.
Just to clarify: For those wondering why I didn't put on a clear coat or bake it, it's because I was following the instructions on the paint can which state that no clear coat should be put on after using this type of paint. I'm curious to see how a clear coat would work for other types of paint - feel free to leave a link to your version below.
That kind of paint never dries. It will remain sticky and rub off and smear all over everything it touches including hands, clothing, table tops. forever. It will glue itself to the inside of your pockets or purse.
I did the exact same mistake. I have a gorilla metallic aluminium case. And I spray painted it about 3-4 times but it kept falling off it kept melting on my hands all kind of things went wrong with 🥲
No, I just used two coats of the spray I showed in the video. The cover felt sort of thick after two coats so I didn't want to apply a third layer of something else.
The instructions for the paint I used stated not to use a clear coat, so I didn't. But several comments have suggested using a clear coat. My issue with using a clear coat (aside from the instructions saying not to) is that the case already felt thick and slightly sticky because of the paint. I feel like that probably would've gotten worse if I had used a clear coat.
@@asmamakesvideos1729 hmm, probably cheap spray paint then. As far as I know, we're suppose to sand off the protective layer on the plastic, spray on the paint primer, and then spray on two or three coats of paint with 30 minutes in between. I'm no professional, but that's what I've been doing and seeing.
What is the purpose of this video? I'm trying to paint my black phone, not black because it blends in with everything. This is like mostvof Yahoo articles, after reading it, there's no news. No news News!!

When you spray paint anything on plastic you need to bake it as well. or put a clear coat
What do you mean by clear coat ? Please answer
أمير لعابد he means a spray paint that is clear. You can find it anywhere

The case scratches the paint because you dont use primer
did you do a clear overlay

Clear coat! Right idea, just needed finishing...
You need to add flex additive or adhesion promotor before the paint
Honest videos hmm i like it
No clear coat required?

Use primer seperate from paint. I think u used the wrong paint and it chipped.
Very dope o" matic
Get this , primer is primer and paint is paint .
Primer + paint in a spray can is BS
you forgot to spray on the paint primer
This particular paint was both in one. I just followed the instructions on the can.

Amazing
I painted it and it came out weird and tacky
You need plastic paint basic, before paint your case.
