      It's infinite. Most "renewable" energy is net negative because more energy is expended on e.g. mining and transporting materials for solar panels and wind turbines, then smelting all the metals for the totally restructured cable network, and in the full fantasy constructing incalculable numbers of gigantic batteries.
      Metals can't be smelted by wind alone.

  • @russellholmes8742
    @russellholmes8742 21 день тому +18

    Net zero is crazy. The idea of dangerous global warming from CO2 is false. Sure CO2 is a greenhouse gas, but its effect diminishes logarithmically so most warming from CO2 has already occurred. And Le Chataliers principle that a system reacts to counter any change to an equilibrium means the modelling is wrong, as they adopt positive reinforcement assumptions. It is absolutely clear they are overstating warming. Besides, slightly warmer temperatures with higher CO2 is great for greening the Earth and thus is already clearly evident. If fears of CO2 disaster are right the expensive transition to nuclear is the only way forward. The idea of near complete renewables will be an economic and societal disaster at massive cost.

    • @russellholmes8742
      @russellholmes8742 21 день тому

      @CraigHarvey What is it that they predicted and that has happened? The generally accepted average temperature is said to have risen slightly since 1970, but at a significantly lower rate than most models. And what are the effects? The world is greener, crop yields are higher, food is plentiful, people have never been so well off, deaths from natural disasters including weather are way down. I don't know what study you are referring to but if they predicted anything correctly it certainly wasn't a climate disaster.

    • @CraigHarvey
      @CraigHarvey 20 днів тому

      @russellholmes8742 "Specifically, Exxon projected that fossil fuel emissions would lead to 0.20 degrees Celsius of global warming per decade, with a margin of error of 0.04 degrees - a trend that has been proven largely accurate."
      That's why we're up to 1.5 degrees of warning in the atmosphere.

    • @polarbear7255
      @polarbear7255 16 днів тому

      Absolutely correct. LCOE is what amateurs and the uninformed use. Regardless, even the IEA states that LCOE must not be used to compare dispatchable baseload generation to intermittent variable energy, especially not when basing country or regional level decisions on it….
      This nonsense from the green left must stop… or Australia will deindustrialise and lose living standards…
      FSCOE would be the minimum metric for comparison and even then EROEI is a key comparison metric… these both make it abundantly clear that intermittent renewables are the most expensive way to generate electricity when viewed as a complete system and even then costs in the real world are often even higher.

    No one wants to say the costs over the life cycle of solar panels or wind turbines, including the costs of disposal of end of life materials. The whole debate is a joke if you won't compare full term costs with those of thermal power stations for example. The Indians and Chinese must be laughing at us while continuing to buy our coal hand over fist. Oh, and buying our gas at bargain prices and re-selling it for a profit on the global market.

If it is private, then we will be in the same boat that we are in now. Rising costs. Any business that owns these nuclear stations are of course going to want to make huge profits, and the way that happens is to put power prices up. Also will that power be sold to overseas countries at cheaper prices than we have to pay. We are virtually subsidizing these other countries to our detriment. I would love and answer to my question.

    • @evil17
      @evil17 21 день тому

      CSIRO report was a scam, they had invited no experts present or had any real costings at a 2018 man cave meeting that deduced from the lack of interest present it was not viable, it was biased & not based on any scientific evidence, data, education, expert or professional input to the discussion, just a report to support funded agendas of a lobby group by a few guys sitting around having a beer, a failed pub test at best.
      CSIRO is not what it used to be and not worth the funding.
      AEMO is no better, they did a similar thing in giving a report to appease a funding lobby for renewables, the CEO of both organisations have made admissions to this recently in senate inquiries.
      AEMO’s report was not based on how to get cheap electricity, it was based on how to get energy without using any of our abundant fossil fuels or nuclear products, meaning their hands were tied to designing a system based on replaceable technology, the most expensive, frail & dagerous of all energy systems, it was a farce to suit Labor & WEF agendas, nothing to do with what is best fit or cheaper for Australia.
      Coal, gas, oil and nuclear are all cheaper, abundant, cleaner, reliable, energy dense and readily available options without requiring extra expensive & massive HV Grid infrastructure, millions of hectares of environmental destruction of forests, farmland and protected habitat areas of wildlife and plant species.
      The renewables scams are deliberately destructive and hugely expensive WEF initiatives to benefit elites, we are the carbon they wish to remove, Marxist, Communist, Socialist, call it what you like, it is inhumane, evil and treason.
      We need a complete govt reform, stop giving away our money, gas and resources, the corruption, donations, flooding immigration, renewables, WEF, UN, EU, WHO, Paris Accord, Climate Change Lies and unsustainable Net Zero & Woke Albo, Labor, Greens, Teals & Uni Party BS.
      We have 15 coal fired power stations and Labor want to blow up 6 in the next 5 years, we emit 1% of global emissions while decimating forests and trees and Pretty Boy Albo wants to give Xi $1.8 Trillion Dollars a year because they are a developing nation, my arse.
      China has 3100 and commissions 2 new coal power stations every week & emit 33% of global emissions, but at least are the biggest planters of trees than the rest of the planet put together.
      Drill Baby Drill, Make Aussie Great Again, we need a Trump approach, fire up the coal & Free gas, we are a developing if not crippled nation heading into a 3rd world status by sinister and incompetent govt’s & ministers taking the piss out of us with their lies, deceit and greed.
      Digital ID and MaD Bill is the beginning of the end if we dont get control back of these terrible politicians and their evil agendas.
      Vote One Nation or People First Party and give them power to help block some of this nonsense in the senate or we are F**ked.
      We should be a lucky country & a superpower, we need and deserve a better govt.
