Excellent seat, great balance, great hands. And the results are great--not just the obedience of the horses but also that the rider is prepared to allow the horses freedom of movement. that takes courage. You're a great rider and a great trainer
The title says "Horses with problems ,,, and me". Most riders would say: "Those horses are my problem!" But this rider shows how to ride them so that they have a problem: The rider is too good for their disobedience. The result: As they can´t throw her off, they prefer to obey. Excellent training for difficult horses from that young lady. Only 18 years young and so much experience - my admiration for her performance.
U rode all of those horses thro there problems so well!!!!, and ur a great rider also!...... Even when they were spazing out, they were very gorgeous movers when they weren't!!!!!!
I get your pain.. I train 2 horses that can either be the best horses on the planet.... Or make a bucking bronc look broke..... But I love them both dearly. It is so worth it when you get those few moments of perfect collection and all is well! MAN I love Dressage!!!!
hey, great riding !! its so rewarding working with horses with slight problems or are just highly strung !!! haha its so rewarding, ive just brought a 16.2 ex race horse whos a bit like that but he's learning past :) and its soo rewarding when they do something correctly ! love it and i love your video !
Cute horses. Yeah, we ALL have those days! Its funny, one of my horses is just like your bay - gallops off occassionally for no reason. My Welsh is just like your dun, he does massive bucks when asking for walk to canter (and just generally if hes bored....).!
I love this video it reminds me that sometimes things goes wrong but with a bit of kind but determined riding we can move forward. Thank you for this you gave me hope with my young horse .... :)
Great riding, those look like some of the horses I've taken on. I use to ride a TWH who would jump 30 feet in one direction whenever we went past the viewing room, and freaked out at wheelbarrows. He quickly taught me how to stay with a horse. :p
halfpassgal, i love your vids and your an amazing rider no matter what anyone says :) ugh i hate people that say spurs are bad and "Wrong" or kicking the horse with them is wrong. For that person thatw asupset that you kicked your horse with the spur and you didnt give it a chance and blah blah, okay, this woman CORRECTS her horses she wants them to be good. Sorry she doesnt want horses that push her around and do what they want. Its about gainning respect by the horse .
when my horse used to be a lil like that, he used to just be really good then just go stupid and try and bolt, so i would get him under control then make him canter or gallop till he was tired, and when he didnt want to run, i would make him. he soon learnt that when he played up i made him tired. he hasnt done it since
Fantastic movie! In really like watching it;) I am adding it to favourites :) You are a very good dressage rider :) If I were you I would put this horses to paddock before riding ;)
Lol, I would have never been able to stay on them in an English saddle like that. XD I'm so used to western it's ridiculous. We've got a QH mare that's really high strung like that, and she could be acting sound as could be and then spook at the slightest little thing. Or break into a complete bucking fit for no reason. She was trained for barrel-racing, and has a few habits we still need to work her out of.
gorgeous riding!! i have sat through that stuff but i'm sure i NEVER looked that calm and cool doing it! awesome! you totally should have been on dover's show- you look better than at least a few of the people who ended up on the show.
wow you seem like a great rider!! when the horse wasn't bucking or bolting or rearing or whatever you were great!! even when they were you had them under control!!
ive watch breathe and this video extremes several times over an dhave no clue how you did it! how long did it take you to get them settled and working proplerly?
I just watched all your videos after seeing one posted on the fugly blog. I have to agree with her, you have what it takes to be the real deal, I hope you are considering horse training as a profession! Please tell me if you are ever interested in coming to Switzerland to learn more from out great trainers here!
Wow thats some good riding! lol I have part ownership of a welsh sec d. He's perfetc when you ride him alone but when I ride him in a group and we canter he just completely takes off with me. I was just wondering if you might be able to suggest something.
i know that feeling all the horses i seem to ride just love to be high spirited- but i find it annoying because at the moment im doing military riding,(its similar to dressage but with one hand and a sword)
my horse used to try and bolt so when he tried i would get him under control then make him canter and when he tried to stop i would make him keep going. he soon learnt, hasnt done it since
good job staying on... the only thing i saw was your hands are to far apart when you ride, i always buy horses like that because i find them more of a challenge and i love to work out the kinks
heyy can i have some tips on sitting deeper in the seat when in canter?? i am very bony and i have it :) no im not begginer, ibelieve it wuld help me though cuz i havem't ridden in like 3 weeks now and i want some tips for coming back, cause that little time sometimes gets me off. Thnxz for the help :)
i'm assuming that you tried out for america's next dressage star since i saw a clip of this video on there. i was shocked at the comments they have your video. robert dover went, "that's a definate no". i was floored. i think you're good enough to be on that show.
Just realised I replied to a troll, doh!! Think these vids are brill, watched Breathe aswell and only wish you could come and sort mine out too!! Fantastic riding.
Oh, thanks for your lovely comments! I don´t want to offend somebody. But I only thought that was a little bit to hard. If you don´t respect other opinions, I want say sorry!
Why? Watch her other video (Breathe) and you'll see that she managed to sort the problems without any gadgets. What's the point of sticking unnecessary bits and bobs on a horse when to solve the problems all that was needed was a little time, patience and TLC. Fantastic riding :)
Omgosh this is off your old video :/ the one of the transformation from terror to angel :p that video is what inspired to become a horse trainer for the behaviour horse and then oneday i went to watch it and i couldnt :( did you get rid of it
vitoryscence, no. these horses r obvisly green. sometimes u just cant have control. i mean what do u expect her to say i dont have control!!!!and jump off? no. she gets on these horses to train them.
Excellent seat, great balance, great hands. And the results are great--not just the obedience of the horses but also that the rider is prepared to allow the horses freedom of movement. that takes courage. You're a great rider and a great trainer
great riding, fabulous control and perfect seat.

People are the causes for all problems that horses have. ;)
This girl is an amazing rider and horse person.

woow! this is the second video i'm watching! i'm veeeery impressed. Extremely good riding skills..
what elsê could i say.. these videos are awesome ^^
Great riding, those look like some of the horses I've taken on. I use to ride a TWH who would jump 30 feet in one direction whenever we went past the viewing room, and freaked out at wheelbarrows. He quickly taught me how to stay with a horse. :p
A very funny video ^^
The dun horse and the brown mare (or gelding) are very beautiful :)
halfpassgal, i love your vids and your an amazing rider no matter what anyone says :)
ugh i hate people that say spurs are bad and "Wrong" or kicking the horse with them is wrong.

gahhhh pretty horses! LOVE that buckskin. hahaha Dontchya just love horses and their antics? lol Great movie and you look like a great rider!
Wow, thanks for posting - now I have something to get me back on track after those frustrating days when all seems to go wrong!
Well sat! They look tough to ride but you handle it wonderfully and maintain your dressage seat throughout. Well done.

1:25 is impressive, nice video and horses!
when my horse used to be a lil like that, he used to just be really good then just go stupid and try and bolt, so i would get him under control then make him canter or gallop till he was tired, and when he didnt want to run, i would make him. he soon learnt that when he played up i made him tired. he hasnt done it since
nice job staying with the horse! Never let them be fresh like that! =)
Fantastic movie! In really like watching it;) I am adding it to favourites :) You are a very good dressage rider :)

Lol, I would have never been able to stay on them in an English saddle like that. XD I'm so used to western it's ridiculous. We've got a QH mare that's really high strung like that, and she could be acting sound as could be and then spook at the slightest little thing.

I love the facility where you ride - is it yours? These horses look like they are a handful, but you handle them beautifully! Well done!

Fabulous riding!
TinchenCB:
i've seen it, too!
she was pulling back too hard!!
that's torture for the horse!!!
that's absolutely right!
you have to show your horse: who's the boss?
but not in that hard way. For such a thing reins are not made!

xx
good job staying on... the only thing i saw was your hands are to far apart when you ride, i always buy horses like that because i find them more of a challenge and i love to work out the kinks
seems not to like those corners! Maybe gait prone? Good job with staying in the saddle!
heyy can i have some tips on sitting deeper in the seat when in canter?? i am very bony and i have it :) no im not begginer, ibelieve it wuld help me though cuz i havem't ridden in like 3 weeks now and i want some tips for coming back, cause that little time sometimes gets me off. its hard to find horses w/ western saddles in endland even at ranches! bareback is closer lol so i wouldnt know what its like
Depends on the horse.. temperament and age really.
And if your a quiet understanding rider:D
xx
Odd question, but how do you get the music in your videos? My movie maker refuses to import it, even from CDs :(
You go, girl!
i'm assuming that you tried out for america's next dressage star since i saw a clip of this video on there. i was shocked at the comments they have your video. robert dover went, "that's a definate no". i was floored. i think you're good enough to be on that show.

that girl on the buckskin likes to look at her self in the mirror as she goes by!
Oh, thanks for your lovely comments!

At 0:50 the horse is beautiful
Omgosh this is off your old video :/ the one of the transformation from terror to angel :p that video is what inspired to become a horse trainer for the behaviour horse and then oneday i went to watch it and i couldnt :( did you get rid of it
This song is Who I Am by Reliant K.
That's what my horse does
vitoryscence, no. these horses r obvisly green. sometimes u just cant have control. i mean what do u expect her to say i dont have control!!!!and jump off? no. she gets on these horses to train them.
whats ur problem? She is training them so they know it's ok!
Don´t pull back so hard!
Am I the only one who see that?!
mmmmmm, a little jealous are we?
