Matt,Mark,Luke and John is old testament prior to Christ going to his cross, Hebrews 9:15-17.
They are Jewish doctrines also, so is Acts 2:38, Acts 11:19
If Paul preached the mystery during act then why did he baptize? Seem to me in his acts period ministry he was preaching the Kingdom Gospel: baptism, sign gifts and communion. Later on however post acts he states in Ephesians 3 the mystery was revealed to him therefore no more water, signs, or New Covenant observance.
He only babtize 2 or 3 people, till Christ revealed not to baptize anymore.
Im With you brother, it does seem like a shift occured in his prison epistles, but also...certain aspects of his acts epistles seem to be preaching the body. After 3 yrs, where do you stand? I'm curious to see how your point of view has lasted or changed...I'm new to mid or acts 28 position
@@abominable_swoleman3528 I preach Paul's Gospel of salvation(cancellation of the death sentence imposed in the garden of eden via forgiveness of sins resulting in a future resurrection). So this is what Yehoshua/Jesus (God manifest in the flesh) actually accomplishes for the believer. The modern evangelical church took a wrong turn when it followed Schofield's deficient dispensational interpretation(Schofield reference bible along with darby's misguided rapture theory) and ridiculed or vilified Bullinger's position which is Acts 28.
So to clarify: Jesus does not save from burning, he saves from sheol/hades: the grave through resurrection. It's unbiblical to tell the lost they burn: Great news all around which is in keeping with what we know about God's love, man's mortal nature and his destiny which is either resurrection through faith in Christ or perishing: staying dead forever: no resurrection for the lost.
@@jamesforrestal403 the modern church also think the body of Christ started in acts 2 haha. Thanks for the reply, as I slowly read through scripture...I see less evidence of "eternal torment in fire" and more "perishing" ...kind of a big jump to see "perish" and apply eternal agony in flames lol. It's a beautiful thing to start waking up.
