Because of the way DJs played in the NJ/NYC area (mid to late 1980's) i didn't know that there was a genre called EURO DISCO /EURO HOUSE, it was all HOUSE to us, then later i started hearing the term IMPORTANT, but that could have been anything that's made "Across The Pond" , if a track by Chaka Khan or LOLEATTA was remixed or done in Europe it was called an IMPORT.
