12:00 This is what inspired the HxH scene where Halkenburg shoots himself and his guardian nen beast catches the bullet. Also as you could probably tell, the guardian beasts are inspired from JoJo's stands
25:45 In the Manga the "Joestar Birthmark" thing wasn't a thing until this part, in the Anime however if you go back to certain scenes you can actually see the birthmark on Jonathan and Joseph, just a cool little thing they added for continuity.
The reason why the author scrapped Hamon is because he believed he did everything he possibly could with it. He was basically asking himself, "Where do you go after beating the ultimate life form?" So he self rebooted the power system, and stands were born. Honestly, this was a good choice because Stands just offer an unlimited amount of creativity. Stands are the staple system for the rest of the series and it's one of the big things Jojo is known for
So as to how to get a stand, without spoilers, there are two main ways. The first is that it's something you eventually develop throughout your life. Stands are a reflection of your soul, of you. So your experiences, personality, values, it can all contribute to what you stand ability may be. People can get them as they develop throughout their lives, and some like Avdol are born with them right off the bat. Some even awaken them as kids. And second: family connections. If your family has a relative who was a stand user, it's very likely you'll get one too. Dio awakened his stand in Johnathans body, and because of that, the rest of the joestars started to awaken their stand abilities. This way is how some people are born with stand abilities Stands are something potentially anyone can have, but that doesn't mean everyone will have one
This was the season where i dropped the series, but i give it a second chance watching it together with you. I just cant stand the new MC, its such a huge step down together with alot of other things,
@@DrexPlays We will find out together. Maybe it was their goal to make him as unlikeable as possible to turn it in the end. I only was 10 Episodes in or so.
@@baseball_tomorrow-sv9tk It is easier to push through with a reaction so i will find out how well they can turn it around. But hvaing an MC that is unbeatable from episode one and has such an arrogant and anoying character, thats a tough one. ^

@DrexPlays he has a cool factor to him that makes him stand out to me and I appreciate his subtle development throughout the story.

ah ok so its like most other verses where the stand CAN be achieved by anyone. its not a limited or "Special" power system only a few can reach
Jotaro and Erwin has the same voice actor
oh SHIT?! really lol I can hear it now
@DrexPlays Yes, and as you know DIO is voiced by Zeke's actor. Very funny these two come together again as enemies
Hypeeeee!!!!🔥🔥🔥

The end of this part is good. But I agree with you that it's pretty rough up to that point
ya the new MC is my least favorite of the 3 so far. maybe he will change my mind by the time this part ends

IMO part 3 is the weakest part because it's too much "fight of the week". But it still has some of the best moments.
ya the "Stand of the week" vibe we've been having hasnt bee ngreat but i do love the new power system
