Took Road King Maggie on a trip to France and Belgium last week, most of the roads was glorious, feeling at times I was the only one on them (stayed off toll & motorways) but the last day, Folkestone to Newark🫣oh dear, feels an achievement to get home in one piece. @@MrB1967 I hear you . And it was the right decision, I went back 10 years ago it was so unrecognisable. A place that we’d roam around for a few days at a time and be lucky to see one dog walker . Now has 100s if not 1000s of visitors. There is now a tourist centre, maps We found the first waterfall by accident, just walking along the river , just me and my brother , we thought we was dreaming , then went on and found more and more , we came back a week later with 4 - 5 friends , and wild camped .. for a few days . Then after that regularly for quite a few years a few times a year . I wrote so many songs there , I even camped there in the snow one night , just me and another guy with a guitar . Crazy looking back . Trouble with the internet people research so much of where they plan to go … when they get there , there are no surprises any more .

The older I get the more important the condition of awareness becomes. Moments in time, and the feelings they provide are impossible to recreate. Went to Paris Island a few years back to watch my grandson graduate from boot camp, driving back home I reflected on how his life was just starting and mine was coming to a close. A flood of memories swept through my mind of things I would love to relive. Your videos make me feel a nostalgia like that. I usually wear a smile while watching. You should have a short story section instead of a comment section. Thanks for the smiles....Tank.

I have such fond memories of High Beech from when I was a kid. My parents would take me there for walks in Epping Forest back in the 1970s and 80s. It doesn't look like it has changed much.
Nah high beech hardly changed a bit . My folks used to take us to Epping Forest camping , in 70s , 80s at Debden. Campsite still there … that was pretty much our annual holiday .. it’s a dreadful campsite … I not been for 10 years or more but I went back with some pals and it was so rough .. they’d steal your pegs if you didn’t bang em in 6 inches underground.

For me, living in Germany and travelling back to the island I have to endure either the Brussels or Antwerp ring roads and then the M25 to eventually get back to Oxfordshire. Three absolutely hateful motorways that are unpredictable and can turn a 7 hour journey into a 12 hour journey in the blink of an eye. 😫Great filtering skills on Ramona though!

Great video. Next time you're up that way maybe visit Owls Nest (on the right as you come out of Llandovery) heading towards Black Mountain Pass. Proper biker's cafe with good parking, good food, coffee and cakes and a map on the wall showing loads of great riding roads. It's my localish (100 mile round trip from my house). For riders not hipsters.

I'm super lucky, I live up in Yorkshire 20 mins in on the Yorkshire moors or on the edge of snake pass ... Sadly my leg is in a cast so going no where for the next 4 weeks 😢 ...You can take a thousand pictures, but the memories and something different, it's the smells the weather the people that are with you .... and it will last a lifetime
Never been on the M25 it does look like the road to Hell, sounds like CR was right, proper enjoyed the wales footage and your banter with your better half. Yep, loved the sound of that bike. I too ride a Road King. Took me 14 years to save up for it. Bought it in Waco, Texas. That was 10 years ago. It’s still beautiful and sounds great. Now, I’ve retired and built my home in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains National Park, on the Little River. I enjoyed your adventure, thanks…from the US, east Tennessee.

I get if that big it must be hard to find time , at 5k It’s easy .. haha the giant wet woods I did worry for a few days after but Ramona took it all in her stride . The deserts of Spain next week .. So let’s see how that goes !

Yep, loved the sound of that bike. I too ride a Road King. Took me 14 years to save up for it. Bought it in Waco, Texas. That was 10 years ago. It’s still beautiful and sounds great. Now, I’ve retired and built my home in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains National Park, on the Little River. I enjoyed your adventure, thanks…from the US, east Tennessee.

Music. I haven't mentioned it before I think. 🤔 I really enjoy the music and songs you play, and the incidental music you use. Worth watching just for that. So much really inappropriate, bad, or just too loud stuff stuck on UA-cam videos. 🙏🎸

@@andyshaw5378 Thanks 🙏 that road always been bad but really it gets worse every year . Jacket , the beige one is old Carhartt lined one , the denim is Slackjaw Apparel. Just shy 20k now . No problems at all , so far 🤞
Thanks for the reply surprising how many you tubes don’t bother replying. That’s a great advert for the bike. Very impressive especially considering some of the roads you’ve been down. In particular the haunted wood episode. Stay safe to both of you 👍
@@andyshaw5378 no sweat to reply takes but a minute. Can only see that being hard to do , if you are fortunate enough to have a very large channel , 20k plus .. I get if that big it must be hard to find time , at 5k
