It says the puppy was taken to the vet when it fell ill. Sometimes these things aren’t meant to be. I tried to take care of a baby rabbit my cat brought me - bought kitten milk to feed it - and it seemed to be doing well and was healthy - even hopping around in the grass when I took it outside, but then one morning it had died in the night. Very sad.
