  • How to remove and replace the windscreen washer pump on a 2001 to 2008 Peugeot 307. The washer pump on this car had been changed to a different type of pump than the normal one for this car but the process is very similar. The normal part for this car is a Febi Bilstein 24633 or equivalent. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.

Absolutely spot on. Step by step and to the point. Brilliant, I'm on this in the next few days as the fuse is still intact but there is no noise coming from the pump at all. Cheers.

Just completed it - works a treat, The hole in the bottle was a touch to big for the grommet, and there was a tiny leak, but a bit of plumbers sealing tape sorted it ... Not all great news though..on jacking the car up i noticed a snapped Suspension spring...so it's off to the garage. Cheers!

Cheers, superb guidance video on this. Clear, to the point and easy to see what's needed. Exactly the same as this to do a 206.

This is super helpful. I actually need to change the wash tank, not the pump. Does anyone know how it’s attached and how it can be removed? Only video I can find is for a 206

I don't have a video but here's the instructions from the manual which may help:
      Washer Fluid Reservoir:
1 The washer reservoir is located behind the
right-hand front wing and supplies both the
windscreen and tailgate washers via the same
pump. On models equipped with headlight
washers, the reservoir also supplies the
headlight washer jets via an additional pump.
2 Working in the engine compartment,
remove the plastic cover from above the
washer fluid reservoir. The cover is secured
by two expanding plastic rivets. Push the
centre pins In a little, then prise the complete
      rivets from place (see illustration).
3 Slacken the right-hand front roadwheel
bolts. Jack up the front of the vehicle, and
support it securely on axle stands (see
Jacking and vehicle support). Remove the
      right-hand roadwheel.
4 Remove the front right-hand wheel arch
liner. The liner is secured by several
expanding plastic rivets. Push the centre pins
a little, then prise the complete rivets from
place, and manoeuvre the front section of the
liner out from underneath the wing.
5 Pull the reservoir filler neck upwards from
      the reservoir.
6 Note the correct fitted location of the
washer hoses (if necessary, mark them for
      identification purposes) then disconnect the
      hoses from the washer pump(s).
7 Disconnect the wiring connector(s) from the
      washer pump(s) (see illustration).
8 Slacken and remove the retaining nut then
move the reservoir to the rear, and free it from
the body. Manoeuvre it out from underneath
      the wing (see illustrations).
9 Refitting is the reverse of removal, ensuring
that the hoses are securely reconnected. Refill
the reservoir and check for leaks.

You DO NOT remove the "retaining clip" from that plug on the pump as you did with your screwdriver. You simply push the wire clip inwards with your finger and the plug then pulls off the socket without any real effort at all. That way you can keep on using the plug for the rest of the life of the car!!!

Wanted to ask you about something please
One of my friends has water leaking under the winshield, just in the VIN number area.
Noting that he didn't replace the winshield recently
Where do you think the leakage is coming from?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts

Where exactly is the VIN number, is that below the windscreen on the drivers side ?. Where is the water ending up ?. Test the windscreen washer with the bonnet open and see if any of the washer hoses are disconnected or leaking in that area
