A friend of mine has one. I drove it a couple times and it is absolutely great! It doesn't really let you realize how big and heavy it really is. It smooths out bumps and corners very very nicely, without taking anything away from your comfort. I love the interior, which manages to be modern and spartan at the same time (love that!). I also love the engine: the mild hybrid system gives it an extremely quick response and the ability to have low fuel consumption! One piece of advice: the video doesn't really make it justice as far as noise: it is much quieter than it sounds here! Overall, well done Audi: 10/10!
there's no such thing as "it is much quieter than it sounds here". you probably don't have excelent hearing, but I've been with many diesel cars including 100k euro cars and they still are noisy inside. Being a petrol car owner, believe me, any diesel car is noisy.

@@tommasomanzali7847 ok, now i get your point. My point is that compared to a petrol and for a 50000 euros car is noisy and unrefined in the diesel variant. Especially on the outside at idle. I wouldn't buy a diesel for that alone. It also regenerates its dpf. It also requires adblue. Its also a more complex engine compared to a petrol one. The fuel consumption difference is offset by the fuel prices at the pump. I don't see any reason to buy a diesel except for a personal passion for it.

When I bought it, prices were way lower for both diesel and AdBlue, and the low fuel consumption really made a difference. If I had to buy now, I would probably go for petrol, or hybrid.

We love diesels in Australia. We have more diesel engine options in the Q5 range then petrol options. Even the SQ5 is a diesel here. No 55 TFSIe option here either. No one likes electric or hybrids here unless they're mated to a diesel engine.

Completely agree. I have the new A6 and tested the Q5 and the interior difference is night and day, the A6 is just so much better.

Test drove the new one and it is really very quiet inside, so it does not miss the bonnet padding.
