  • I am going to show you how I fixed a water leak in the footwell of my 2016 Mercedes A-Class. Apparently this is a common issue on A-Class as the seal fails on the vent over time.
    How to remove the bumper:

Well funny you say that I contacted Vosa 3 days ago you should see the amount of water in my car. Water goes into electrics at the front of my car. Car transmission literally failed on the motorway several times after electrics were checked and rectified. No one knew it was water under the carpet.. over 30 litres.
Made a complaint to Mercedes and have them asking to bring vehicle in. But not before I complain to Vosa! I almost got trashed by a truck.. 🤬

What a nightmare mate! 30L is a crazy amount of later. Hopefully you get it fixed!

Just happened to mine 2014 a200 CDI except it made its way into the frame work and flooded the fuel ecu.. it short circuited it, I’m currently drying it out before I repair it.. gutted it happened, my car just wasn’t firing up, it turned over fine but no ignition, called RAC fault diagnosed to FUEL CAN error we thought it was the fuel pump.. but local garage quickly diagnosed it, frustrating Mercedes didn’t do a recall for this..

@@jackmottley135 just for future reference if anyone watches this in the future with issues, it was my fuel pump control module where it sits inside the car that’s where the water got in and then short circuited it.

Hi mate, had the same issue. How long did the carpets take to fully dry. After a week mine are still holding on to some moisture.

Hi mate, the puddles stopped forming after a couple of days with wet vac when they formed. Carpets took about 3 weeks to fully dry. I would suggest to always have the heaters on the floor with the windows open to dry out
