What do I do if the SI-24 doesn't show up in the list? I've added the Roland Control Surface Driver (SI-24.bundle) into the MIDI PLUG IN's folder inside of Logic Pro X, but it still doesn't recognise it!
Thanks for making this, but I feel you've completely missed a step out - what is this 'PreSonus FireStudio" thing? Are you making assumptions other than someone having Logic Pro X, a Mac and a VS2480?

This video is just showing you how to use the vs 2480 as a control surface for Logic Pro and yes assuming you already have the mixer and all drivers set up in your Mac.
Zoe Summers the presonus vfire converts the Rbus connections on the VS to FireWire allowing live transfer of inputs to your DAW, another thing you can do is set up midi communications thru that connection.

I'm not bothered about using it as an audio interface, I just want to use it as a control surface for all the flying faders, knobs, transport controls etc...
Presonus V-fire they don’t make them anymore so you would have to find a used one. It’s FireWire 400 from there you can get adapters to be compatible to your system
the vfire control is empty, the universal controller does not show the clock source. What can be. wrong? I turn off the firewire cable and get back to you, sometimes turns blue, other blinks

Can you quanitize keyboard audio files on the roland vs2480?

What if the control surface option isn't there on the utility menu? I just see 20. RBUS not 21. Control surface
you need to upgrade your vs2480 then. via midi-online on the Roland support page

fire will stay empty, i have nothing selected on the universal controller for the clock source just the sample rate and safety mode normal
