Maybe Honda wants that sweet Nissan CVT transmission all for themselves? Hilarious when these companies pushing planned obsolesce become obsolete themselves.
if Honda was smart which I kinda think they are, they would shutter infiniti and move those engineers and designers to Nissan proper... stay away from the turbo hamster wheels and build reliable NA engines mated to regular tried and true transmissions instead of that newfangled CV crap. this shit ain't difficult.
It's easy to trace where they both went horribly wrong. Nissan and those horrible Jatco CVTs marked the end of their good cars. With their trash 1.5L engines constantly mixing fluids and leaking, Honda can't handle short trips. Both these companies lost their way. Toyota is right behind them now that the last Toyo left the company.
I have a Nissan titan pro4x and It is an awesome truck how can you pick on Nissan when Toyota ford Ram Chevy all are having serious problems you can go to any steelerships and make the same video they are all overpriced
I worked for Honda twice. From 09-12 they were still what a technician considered reliable. My second go around in 2022 was an absolute shit show. The vehicles are no longer reliable. By any stretch. @@nwzimmer1I strongly disagree that Honda, or Nissan are no longer reliable. There isn’t proper, or credible evidence that supports that. Recalls, and some bad CVT’s for a couple model years, doesn’t disqualify Honda, or even Nissan as a whole when it comes to reliability. The costs however, I do agree have went up significantly in the last 5yrs. Toyota, Honda, and Nissan still for 2025 produce, and manufacture the most reliable engines in the automotive industry. That’s the simple truth. Yeah Toyota had some contamination get into some of their engines during the manufacturing process, but that’s not the engineering aspect. Toyota still comes out on top as one of the best brands, if not the best brand to purchase from. They are replacing those engines with what may very well be million mile engines. I’ve done quite a bit of research on their new turbo engines, and Toyota knows what they are doing. Those turbo engines are the best quality of any of the other competitors by a considerable margin. Those engines are a testament some of most advanced engineering at its finest when it comes to automotive gasoline engines. Toyota won’t be down for long. I would still buy a brand new Tacoma or Tundra if I could afford it. Toyota is good about handling any issues that they have. GM, Ford, and Chrysler just don’t offer engines like that.
The government ruined that with all the safety and emissions requirements. Unless EPA and DOT are reigned in by the new President you'll never see cars like that again.
@@diegoflores9237 not only can they not build them, but the gov. also gives incentives to stretch service intervals to impractical lengths. @@josephkelleher8820ppl are one trick ponies with their talking points. the CVT isn’t as bad. plus, they’ve been going away from their CVTs for the last few yrs

I bought my 2010 Corolla S last year at a Nissan dealership. The salesman asked me why I was getting a Toyota. I smiled and said long term reliability. He said nothing. Lol
The other day I was in a gas station and spotted a new Chevy Blazer pull up to a pump and I kid you not the dealer put their badge on the back liftgate about 6 inches to the left of the Chevy badge. I won't buy from a dealer that puts obnoxious badges on their cars. I will ask that they remove it and I will also take off any license plate frame myself.
Say what want about Nissan's crappy CVTs, but they do have some nice engines in their staple ( Not the new small turbo ones). But who know what Honda really wants out of this.
The benefit of the merger for Honda is that they instantly become the third largest auto manufacturer in the world. The benefits in cost structure with that scale should be obvious to anyone who understands business. As an aside, I'd love to know where this guy is located. Because in the northeast, I never see any of these dealer ad-ons on price stickers. I suspect dealers know better here. There's simply too much competition in the densely populated northeast corridor for that nonsense.
Honda gets a body on frame that's missing in their lineup. They can drop most of the Nissan and Infinitii lineup. Frontier, Titan, and Armada fill holes in Honda lineup. Make Pathfinder body on frame and offroad capable like it used to be and now they compete directly with 4Runner.
Why is nobody mentioning that Nissan is owned by Renault, went right note to Covid Nissan. They were a liability plummeted. Same’s gonna happen with Honda joining Nissan.
anyone know they are going to be one company with one name brand, or are there still going to be "2" companies? like chevy and gmc, or ford and Lincoln, still the same, but each with their own 'identities" and follower customers base?
I have been saying the Nissan Titan & frontier are great trucks for a long time on this channel I only talk crap about other Nissan vehicles not their trucks Trust me, I go to all the brands
America sneezes and the world catches a cold... the US consumer ain't buying stuff like we used to.. is your neighbor buying a new vehicle? are you? I doubt it. everyone's balance sheets are crap.
because the Japanese govt ordered Honda to do so to avoid the take over of Nissan by chinese car manufactures. Honda is far from pleased with this as they have major issues of their own.

Nissan will drag down Honda!!
Nissan is still better than dodge
That's a low bar.
Didn't they merge because Nissan was heading toward bankruptcy? If hope that Honda would influence Nissan in the merger, and not the other way around.
100% Honda is coming to save Nissan

It's all crap because you said it but based on my experience with 2 different maxima's I will say I don't think so...
Got a V6 frontier 2024, I’m happy with it
It’s probably the only Nissan to own in 2024
Just got one, too. Not bad.
They fear Chinese competition, that's the reason
Nissan used to make most of their money in China. But Nissan can't compete with the Chinese Evs.

My first car was a 1984 Datsun Nissan 300ZX. Back when Nissan was good.
B210 was also good.
As long as they don't build 'em in Mexico they should be OK. 😏
