I really like The Information, but I haven't read anything positive about it from fans or the press. I'm surprised. There's filler on it but enough essential songs for me
Interviewing Beck is like pulling teeth.
My favorite album, The Information. What a masterpiece. There are layers of sound in there that most faux music fans will never understand or appreciate.

I never would have guessed Beck was a scientolgist.
That's the running theory dating back to this interview. But my take is that he's pretty ambivalent about it all.
He mentions several religious exposures in his life from Judaism to Catholicism in his family but doesn't stand behind any in this segment.

Not for the first time. He always answers, when asked, but I'm not sure what people expect him to say. He's not there to promote the religion, he's not there to slam it, so what can he say, really? Whatever he says is going to make someone unhappy, so he stay diplomatic.
Who cares what religion he follows,does it really take or add anything to the music?
