I'm in an accelerated program getting a BA and MA in Community Psychology so....I hope that will help in the near future?
I plan to transfer from a community college for the Dental Hygiene program; any tips?
I didn’t take sat or act people of COVID can I still apply ??? I’m a senior now
Thanks from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Do you think I will be at a significant disadvantage if I applied regular decision? I’m striving for straight As 1st semester to boost my gpa to a 3.9-4.0 from a 3.8 (Weighted). Due to Covid, I’m taking my first SAT next month. However, I’m taking 2 more (early October and December).
Apply EA and if you are on the edge, you will get deferred to regular. If you have no chance of getting in, at least you will know sooner.
CollegeMeister thank you for getting back to me! I will apply EA
@@joeseppy69 you can get in with as low as a 3.75 GPA
I'm currently an Undergraduate student in my senior year and looking for some tips on how to get accepted for graduate programs at University Of Michigan
What is the benefit of applying early action? Is it easier to get in as an out of state applicant?
Yes for both in-state and out-of-state applicants. Good luck.
What do strong extracurriculars look like? Would internships and school clubs be great examples? Please reply
Quality over quantity and depth over breadth. Otherwise, make sure your extracurricular activities align with your values and interests and that you stay as productive as possible. Good luck.
Hi! I’m a junior in highschool looking at umich, what is the GPA range that would get into umich if my SAT score is 1400?
A minimum of 3.9
I got in with a 3.6 GPA and SAT score of 1380 so it really comes down to your interests and essays!!
@@nadiasharapova469 can you please tell me what we’re your extracurriculars, interests, and essays if possible? I moved all the way from another country to attend UVM Ann Arbor and I’m trying my best to get there Fall 2022.
@@emansedqi5821 I wrote about my experience as an advocate, my mental health, and my volunteer experience. I think what got me in was having a set interest and goal that was clear in my essays. You really just need a clear passion and it will give you a huge leg up!
@@nadiasharapova469 Interesting! Well congrats you got into UVM!! But can you tell me what we’re your extracurriculars? Like what did you volunteer for cause I just got to know that I have to volunteer and get my service hours in order to get accepted to any college
guys, I will apply for us universities this year, I have adhd, I struggled a lot in high school and now 2 years is gone since I finished and I decided to apply for university. I am currently in a 3 years college and my gpa is something like 3.7 but in my high school it was 3. I know they won’t require sat this year, and during quarantine I developed great extracurriculars that i didn’t have in high school. What do you guys recommend, yes michigan is one of my dream universities
Applying as a transfer is different than applying as a freshman: admissions.umich.edu/apply/transfer-applicants - good luck.
@@CollegeMeister Statistically speaking, would there be any bias towards freshman compared to transfer students? Are chances higher or lower for a transfer student?
@@bruhsoundeffect1903 It will of course depend on individual qualifications and how they may improve or worsen from senior year in high school through the first year or two of college; yet, overall, Michigan's acceptance rate is certainly higher for transfer students than first-year applicants.
should I include my SAT score if I got 1370? I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0
This depends on many variables, like your state of residence, the rigor of your curriculum, your extracurricular activities and how you communicate about them, and the quality of your essays.
hi! I am a umich student and I made a video on how I got in! :)
Do they make u do an entry essay?
As of the 2020-2021 admissions cycle, yes, and more than one. But this can change from year to year. Good luck.
@@CollegeMeister is there a subject the essays have to be on I’m applying next year and trying to write some practice essays
@@Ty-tk2lq This year's (2020-2021 admissions cycle) supplemental Michigan supplemental essays are below, but do note that they can change from year to year. Good luck!

@@CollegeMeister Ok that’s honestly very easy only 300 words about my race. Plus if I have a gpa from around 3.7 is that good if I have a amazing act score
Will the fact that I am mixed (Hispanic and white) help
Applying to a selective university as an underrepresented minority never hurts. Good luck.

@@mehraankhan6043 I believe so, I got into a good school (maybe T50) with multiple C's on my hs transcript and a decent ACT
Algum br?
i got in with a 1210 and a 1230 superscore
Did you have strong extracurriculars and a strong WGPA? I want to get in very badly but I feel that my 3.8 WGPA isn’t good enough. I’m trying to bring my gpa up to around a 3.9 this semester and get straight As, but I would be applying regular decision. Do u recommend I apply early action with a 3.8 or wait?
Joaquin Quietly you’re on track. I did regular decision cause I knew my resume wouldn’t compare well with that pool of applicants. But I guess my extracurriculars were strong. You got this dude God willing 🤝
Joaquin Quietly I applied with a 3.9 or 3.89 also
YankTM this was very reassuring and motivating bro. Thanks for the support and good luck at UM 🤝
Your amazing I was worrying so hard about getting in but you calmed my nerves a lot
