"That's very fucking touching." One of my favourite lines and that whole scene demonstrates the depth of the relationship between Jack and Anne which is one of the things I love the most in the whole show. It's very much leaving it up to you to guess if Flint is as bad as he seems or just ends up in the wrong place. One thing you aren't prepared for is how much and how often your feelings on characters will sway from good to bad and vice versa as the show progresses. It'll be a real treat for all your viewers to watch you go through it.
@@essdoubleu There isn't a single adaptation of transformers that's any good. If you have no childhood nostalgia for the og cartoon it's a worthless franchise
I'd say Silver is pretty great as well. He goes from being a slimy cowardly con man to quite the badass, although, admittedly, I still have yet to finish the series, which is what I'm doing right now, but I remember how great his character arc is. If something like that sticks with me after not having watched the show for several years, you know it's something worth remembering. I love Flint from episode 1. He does bad things, but all in all, he's one of the more morally upright characters that this show has to offer, but more than that, he's really interesting, and the actor who portrays him is really good. He doesn't even need to speak to command my attention.
I am re-watching this along them and I had forgotten a very important thing that happens in this episode.. their reaction was funny, Rick's idea is my favorite one lmao and Shane had they right idea here and they all denied him requesting a pardon is a betrayal :P also I cant wait to see how their opinions on the characters change.. Flint is so brilliantly written I love him and I cant wait for them to see more
Going straight from Rick and Lessa reacts to black sails is just the best! This has definitely become my fav reaction series so far, just overtaking vikings! Two of my fav shows 😛 hopefully we'll get peaky blinders one day!
Especially when Flint's crew already kinda hates him and thinks he's cowardly. If they found out, they wouldn't hesitate to turn that hatred against him.
The letter is the betrayal. Captain Flint got his men all hype and ready to cash in on that gold. It would be disappointing if they found out that it was all a lie cuz he’s planning to get pardon and ride off into the sunset. And one or more might surmise that he’s prolly going to make away with all of that cash to have a nice pleasant retirement. However, just the thought of men risking their lives for something you don’t even give a fuck about is infuriating... So, yeah the contents of that letter, paired with the assumption that Flint is aware them is what the betrayal entails.
Blind Wave crew, pleased after years of asking you're doing these. Please consider doing them closer together... I know you guys have a huge plate of things to do. I love your comments and it's your type of show... The further you guys get, you'll be elated you did. Thanks so much.
dude they get this message on every show they do.. and lets be real i love this show but the reactions pulls 10k views.. they have shows which pulls 50k+ views and people there say the same thing you do
I love Billy Bones, idk, he's fun. I enjoy Gates and Jack, too. The only one I have no interest in is Eleanor. (I've just seen S1 though, she might change in the future or something) Edit: Now I'm at season 3... still don't like her XD I like Silver the most out of everyone
What I hated was that all the women on the show were either gay or bisexual and they had no problem showing sex scenes between women or between a woman and a man. But all they showed flint do was kiss a man and then nothing else. The double standards pisses me off
It's hardly double standards, its to highlight the difference in society... All of the shots of Thomas and Flint take place in England where they have to be secret. Noone gives a flying fuck in Nassau if you fuck someone of the same sex. Christ, a member of the crew fucks a goat and it only sparks a minor brawl.

Requesting a pardon from the crown, behind your men's back does constitute a betrayal.
easily the best thing Michael Bay's name has been attached to in the last decade.
r o b o t s i n d i s g u i s e
Telling that the best thing Michael Bay has been connected to is a show he had no creative input in. Heh.

@@carlhilber2275 I mean some games are good enough, but i see your point

"Jack and Anne hook up?"
Calico Jack and Anne Bonny hooked up many times. lol Some claim they were married, but since Anne already was . . .
Flint is one of the most well written characters in TV history
fuck outta here

I'm so happy that you guys are reacting to this, you guys are going to end up loving all the characters in this show... I can't wait!
To respond to one point suggested -- the show is definitely more clever than you realize this early in the series. :)

Overtaking Vikings?! Sacrilege
@Deniz Rafet Canavar It's in the poll i believe :)
you'd be surprised.. it was one of the highest requested shows! plus check out Sithfurion, he's reacting to it.
Great reactions and discussions lads! Aaron tightening the jars in the house. The level of petty I'd aspire too.
13:25 So many Betrayals in so little time..
I counted 32 ‚betrayal‘ or ‚betrayed‘ in 2 minutes 10 seconds , could have been more, Jesus Christ
One of the best written shows ever1
12:03 all i think in my head is kratos saying welcome back boy
Pirates would absolutely have a problem with their captain seeking a Pardon. It's seen as weak or bowing down to the Crown.
Especially when Flint's crew already kinda hates him and thinks he's cowardly. If they found out, they wouldn't hesitate to turn that hatred against him.
Jeopardy song was playing in my head through half your discussion in the end. And I kept thinking... I know what the answer is and you have no idea.
Forget the pirates! Are those 40K PINT GLASSES?!?!
yes finally i been waiting for this for the entire week
Love the intro for these reactions!! :D
YAR! HAR! FIDDLE LEE DEE!
asking why barlow banged the preacher: remember what mr. guthrie said about her. she was rumored to be the "cheating" type in london.
More to it though
Like allbies said, that wasn't the whole story, the truth of what happened in London will come in later seasons.
Calvin fact check. Pirates often raided coastal towns and ports. Thus, pirates did indeed pillage.

The biggest betrayal.
You will learn why Gates is so loyal... And it’s not some deep seated motivation...
Mr. Scott has a very interesting story... His arc in the series is one of the best... This show has some of the best characters’ arcs in tv history!!!
Scott's a great character! :D
no pirate would want a pardon.
Just get Shane to react to sex scenes.
COWBOY BEBOP !!!!...AAARGH !
Oh shit you guy's room is bigger than I thought lol.

All Elonore does is make things worse.

Calvin is continuously looking for reasons not to like this show.
