@@seancowhie6951 how is saying he is underappreciated putting him down. I'm saying he doesn't get the respect and attention from a lot of people and the media that he so rightly deserves.
This series is so awesome, Ben. I got to see the Hysteria tour in October of 1988. I had just started playing guitar and Steve was my guitar hero. He still is to this day. Never thought when I saw that show that I would able to play along with the full set one day! Thank you for these!
My absolute all time favourite Def Leppard Live track! Truly highlights Steve Clark's talent! Love the video and the panning lights on the outro. When I saw them live this was the icing on the cake. The lower octave background vocals in the chorus was also mind-blowing at the time. Thanks for doing this Ben. You absolutely nailed that outro!
I never got a chance to see Steve in concert but you have made me see just how critical he was to the band!!!! I could listen to you play all day!!! Thanks for keeping this era alive!!!
Truly awesome. I was 14 when the In the Round Tour video tape came out and I remember being mesmerized by Steve Clark’s outro solo and watching it over and over as he played with pure soul and that amazing tone….it always brought me to a deeply emotional state. Your original version of his solo did the same. This one, even more so. I know many who have listened to this and/or commented know exactly what I mean. Kudos man and thank you.
As it will always be my favorite song, I have many words to say and the memories, it has given me. Phil's solo is top-notch. Steve's out ride is legendary.
03:01 is one of the magical stages in this song in Denver where "Steamin" - oozing rock star cool points to the crowd. New axe Ben? Beautiful purple finish. Thank you again for yet another video. Carrying the torch in particular for the genius who had it all. Steven Maynard "The Riffmaster" Clark. Just my opinion but the Denver Colorado US "In the Round In Your Face 1988/1989" to me is THE best concert I never got to see, nor did I ever get to see this amazingly talented and live just dazzling [in EVERY aspect] Steve Clark. thanks mate.
I’ve been following your videos for years and they are the best. I discovered Def Leppard when was 15, I think (I’m 23 now). Steve is by far my favourite guitarist. Keep up the good work! Cheers from Estonia!
This was one of my favorite songs and yes I have it on repeat🤩👍 you truly outdid yourself on this one 🎸🎧 Ben awesome job 👏 cheers your journey fan always🌹
Awesome my friend. Dude you did the cymbal smack! Too funny. Cleaning my cymbals always a tedious job. On stage my mates would spin them, smack them, arms on them like a table. Drove me nuts on inside. On outside I was egging them on. Fun for audience to watch. People used to ask “how do you talk to each other and play at the same time?” If I knew I’d bottle it and give some to everyone to experience. Just natural ability I guess.
...and suddenly it's the end of 1983, and I'm being driven to band practice where we start working on our cover of Photograph. :: flood of memories :: Damn, that was so much fun!

Love this! Photograph live from this era is king with Steve's outro imo. The outro solo and how they just ride the song out. I think since the Euphoria era they just end the song abruptly, shame!
Lol at 1:12 you act like you hit the symbol like Steve did in the live performance, unless I am wrong, but if you did it intentionally then nice 👍 btw very nicely done cover, sounds just like the live performance
I’ve always wondered what Pyromania would have sounded like had Pete Willis stayed. Think about all of Phil’s solos but it’s Pete’s idea and his compositions and not Phil on the record. I also wonder if Mutt preferred Pete as a lead soloist compared to Steve. Pete would have had the solos in the 3 main singles from the album. It is interesting how the dynamics changed in the band.
I have a 1980 Gibson Les Paul km, how do in get the sound you getting while playing photograph, equipment do I need? Thanks love your videos Def Leppard!

Really highlights how great and underappreciated Steve Clark was.
He did all that, even while wearing the guitar down by his knees.
Under appreciated by whom? Absolutely nobody
Why was he underapreciated that doesn't make sense

The point of this series is to show Steve’s parts that he played live so that wouldn’t fit. It wouldn’t be different to my original Switch cover.
