We flew into Lihue yesterday, got our car and went directly to Kenji Burgers. It was just as you described. My Husband and I split a Kenji burger and the spicy ahi burrito. We upgraded the fries and each got the lychee milkshake. It was all delicious! The burger was so flavorful and juicy! Our new favorite grinds place! Thank you Autumn & Brody

When I stayed in Kauai, I fell in love with there Sugarloaf pineapple, White pineapple, Amazing, the best fruit i've ever had!

Definitely have to try it, looks amazing!!! I saw it on our last trip there but never stopped in. To be honest I kinda got obsessed with tiki tacos, best tacos ever and I'm from California where tacos are life haha. Hope to see a video on them soon. Thanks for sharing guys

went there two times already whilst my current stay on hawaii and had hands down the best burger i have ever eaten. the burrito was dope as well and if i wouldn’t feel so guilty about it i would eat there everyday. the staff is so friendly and great as well! mahalo for the great tipp!!! (still a bit sad that i haven’t met you yet :p)

Thanks for the video, guys! We stayed in Coconut Beach Marriott last year, just a few miles from Kenji burger. In late October will return and add this eatery to my list....that sushi burger looks soooo tempting!! P.S. I remember seeing the eatery as we drove up to Princeville from Coconut Beach.

Great video, sweet sunset ending. We passed on Kenji burger when we were there, did not think they would have anything for us vegan-vegetarians. Might give it a try when we return. As you visit other restaurants-food trucks would appreciate info on vegan-vegetarian friendly places. Many thanks!

I have seen Kenji Burgers while on vacation this year and last year but I haven’t tried them yet, after watching this video I may have to try them on my next trip to Kauai, my parents lives up in the Wailua Homesteads area and I don’t think they have been to Kenji Burgers yet either.

Aloha Wayne! Well, there is a new food truck called Kauai Poke Co. We will be showing their food truck in our next video scheduled to post this upcoming weekend. The Fish Express in Lihue (across from Walmart) and the Koloa Fish Market on Poipu Rd are both really good. And funny enough, Brodi actually really likes the poke from Big Save deli!! How about a video on where locals go to eat?! My son works as a chef in San Francisco and through friend's connections and recommendations, we've tried Tip-Top for the Ox-Tail Soup, Mark's Place and Smiley's Grinds and of course, Hamuras! Any other spots? Thanks! I love Loco Moco, any Pokes, Sushi, etc.
You really hit up all the good places we would recommend!! Add in .... Happy Eats for huli huli chicken on Rice street on weekend mornings only (they put up a tent in the Central Pacific Bank parking lot) and of course Fish Express in Lihue and the Fish Market in Koloa :)
@@OnHawaiiTime Thank You! When we were last on Kauai in Dec 2018, we flew a Red-Eye out of SanFrancisco and landed around 10 AM. Our first stop was Koloa Fish Market to grab some poke and we then had a picnic lunch at Poipu Beach on the way to our hotel at Koloa Landing!

Yes it use to be Bobby V's Italian Restaurant!! They moved to the Coconut Market Place just down the road. A much bigger location with a bar.

Looks so amazing! When you highlight food places would you let us know if they have options for those who are gluten free? Like are there gluten free options that are tasty at Kenji? (Most soy sauce has gluten. I totally get that when some ingredients are missing the dish may not be worth serving. ) If they don’t, I would appreciate knowing because I would bring my family but also bring something g/f for me to eat.

Me and my wife came into Kenji’s several times in the past and we noticed that this head chef makes it very hard to enjoy a good meal here. As a gluten free person he always try’s to correct my diet. And claims that gluten is basically a “hoax”. The food is great, the service excellent but when I come to eat I do not want to be “educated”.
Aloha Austin! Sorry to hear that and can understand your frustration. Brodi has dietary issues as well, he can't eat beef due to medical reasons and it is not a choice.
