Problem with stuff with this message is that it only works if only a minority actually take it to heart. If everyone just decides to go out and ramble and be idle instead of working, no one will have anything for the idle ones to live off of while they avoid working. You can't beg room and board if no one has any, which they won't if someone doesn't harvest the crops and grind the grain and make the bread and make the beer and build the tavern and run it. This is for the minority who realize that they can basically avoid working as long as most people are being productive and they are content with the bare minimum and living off the generosity of others.
