Sounds so much like Ace Combat OST, I like to think that Muv-Luv Alternative and AC have a similar kind of story beat with their characters and world building. Be cool to see the makers of AC have a contract with Muv Luv Alternative to make some games.
too many reference from ace combat Infinity Squadron - Mobius Squadron, Chain Railgun - Stonehenge, Wardog Squadron(The Day after)- Wardog Squadron(AC5) and of course they have a same reference like top gun in total eclipse they has many reference from there.
Yeah they're so good. For me, it was rough when just getting into it (muv luv extra was pretty snooze) but unlimited and alternative. Oh boy. And after all that I did come to appreciate extra for what it is.

They both have phenomenal mission briefings

I really like Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse.
Along with Schwarzesmarken.
Play the games then, especially the original trilogy, everyone agrees no adaptation holds a candle to it
@@fokjohnpainkiller ^^ This 100%. The VNs are sooooo much better than the anime.

@@Oysterkeeper Exactly, Extra is plain vanilla, nothing special about it, until you read it again...
