I've had four Springers over the years, since 1976, two females and two males. My last companion made it to 16 yrs, 9 months and was active until the last 3 months. They are great with children and protective of women. Very smart, easy to train, and want to do anything you are doing. Swimming, boating, hiking, playing in the yard, digging, playing with ball or frizbee, going for a ride in the car/truck, or going to the lumberyard.
Over the years we have had two pairs of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Each of the 4 dogs had wonderful personalities, and if our grandkids got too boisterous the dogs disappeared, until the kids went home. Each pair had a tri color and a blenam. We had a litter of 5 males. The litter was two blenam and three tri colors. It was difficult for Alexis so we had all the adult dogs neutered after that.

mine would have to be my American cocker spaniel Lady
our American cocker Spaniel died 2 years ago.
