Posey was spot on with his comments. Step outside of SF and people have negative perceptions of the city. The city has so many problems and people can see the problems. Don’t blame Buster for sharing what players are telling him. Blame the city leaders for setting policies that helped the decline of the city. The truth is difficult to accept.
Shohei would not live or want to stroll around at night in LA South Central, Downtown, Chinatown, South of Main Street, Skid Row. Most Bay Area stars would likely in Atherton, Marin, or Orinda. SF unfortunately as with other major cities in the US has areas with heavy crime & homelessness. But SF like all other cities, also has wonderful areas but granted fewer areas than in the past. My take is that Giants ownership instructed Buster to say this publicly which hopefully will help push SF City officials to do more to clean up the city.
There is some truth to his statements especially recently. Downtown has been dying over time and yes most of my friends do not like to park on the street as their windows get smashed. SF needs to do more to improve its image. Plus, the ball park isn't regarded as a hitters park
Here is the truth, you think Buster is not echoing what players already have seen or experienced with their own eyes? It is a great city and filled with great folks but it has issues and not acknowledging them just means there is no self awareness with folks that think there isn't a problem.
Today listened to the Damon and Larry Krueger show and had way more viewers and listeners than these clowns. And why???? Because THEY KEEP IT REAL. Posey is 3X WS Champion. As far as I’m concerned he can say whatever he wants. And he didn’t even say it in a negative. 95.7 and their clowns are twisting and manipulating his words. Also, a majority of these clowns hosts don’t live where we the people live and the every day struggles we go. Someone might want to to Bonte to stop lying to the ppl or 95.7 public will continue to go away. RIP 95.7 The Game 🙏🏻
That’s not what (either) Buster said. They were speaking about perception of others perceptions of the city. Posey loves the Bay Area, he moved back. But to pretend that outsiders don’t look at the city that way, then you have blinders on.
I hear you. I'm disappointed in Buster because he said this publicly to push this stupid narrative. And these ball players like Posey don't even live in the city. It's his job to recruit players and actually tell FAs reality vs. perception. Buster is using this stupid narrative about SF to make excuses for the Giants shitty job on signing FAs.
It’s true though lol. We had some family friends come from New Zealand this weekend to visit us. Drove into SF and got our car windows smashed in by lunchtime
Bonta is the best and absolutely 100% correct. The problem is the roster! A top shelf free agent would have to be crazy to go to this Farhan crap show!
We know SF has gotten worse but people makers this city seem like were in absolute warzone when in reality we are not as bad as other major cities in America. People love knocking on SF all because of politics. If we bring up how bad the major cities the right wing states like Little Rock, Charleston,Jackson or Mobile that are just bad if not worse than SF its nothing but crickets. Alot of people just want to knock on SF hard because its helps with their political narrative
Exactly, every city has the exact same problems, SF is just in the crosshairs of conservative media and that scares prospects because that's all they hear.
@@FullContactCoder still doesn't dismiss the fact that people are making out the city worse than it actually is. And on top of that I feel like this is just a cop out from the Giants organization on why they cant attract free agents cause in reality they just suck as an organization from the top on down
Bonta Hill ... 1st round draft pick Ricky Pearsall shot in chest in attempted robbery. Let's revisit this and shall we? Or maybe you just humbly say Buster was right and you were wrong.
