  • UniClutch changes EVERYTHING you know about Clutch! 🏆.
    Here's a deep dive into UniClutch and how we achieve the impossible.
    Brad shows us the differences between an OE replacement Lotus Elise clutch and a Stage 1/2/3 aftermarket Clutch what the compromises of these clutches can be and why a UniClutch gives you a no-compromise solution compared to an aftermarket upgraded clutch.
    Traditional Aftermarket clutch = Compromises
    More clamping force = Heavier pedal
    More springs = Less angularity
    Less angularity = More noise
    Harsher engagement
    UniClutch
    Full sealed unit, no flywheel machining
    More Torque handling ability without the heavy pedal
    Quiet compared to traditional twin plate clutch systems
    Full modular flex fit system, engine and gearbox conversions are easier then ever
    UniClutch already has over 5000 vehicles catalogued and it's growing thanks to the UniClutch community.
    This video also explains how to check if UniClutch might be suitable for your vehicle when it is not listed in the UniClutch Catalogue.
    Smallest UniClutch flywheel mount bolt up PCD is 248mm, if your clutch pressure plate has a smaller PCD then this, UniClutch will not be suitable.
    Some examples of cars that from factory have a smaller clutch then what UniClutch is suitable to replace include Suzuki Jimny & EK Honda Civic (Non Vtec model)
    The sealed design inspired by elite motorsport uses advanced forged materials and features four world-first patents to create a modular system that suits a huge range of vehicles, and custom builds. Experience up to double the torque capacity without a heavy pedal, virtually no noise, and did we mention you will never need to machine a flywheel again, Ever.

    This answer my question. I am going to get one for my s2000. All I need is a push type style slave cylinder adpater I saw they have available.

    Looks great. I’m waiting for the track release. Do you have an eta? And also what is the construction difference with track? As notice it doesn’t state “quiet”
    I need the higher torque of track for my street car (which sees track days)

    • @uniclutch
      @uniclutch  9 місяців тому +2

      At this stage, UniClutch Track's ETA for release is roughly April/May 2024; It has a Low MOI Cover & a differently designed disc that includes forged Internals. As the Track is designed to take higher torque capacity, it requires a beefier clutch plate, which won't offer the same level of noise dampening as the regular UniClutch & Sport models.

    considering the topic and everything, i'm surprised this hasn't spread as fast as it has. only 1.5kk views in 2 days. I'm still learning about cars and the way you explained it was so flawless. And also it seems pretty huge if you're being honest with what you said. Good luck with this. I wish you guys the best of luck

      Thanks for the message; great to hear you learned something from this; Clutch is a simple yet very technical topic.

    Im actually in the middle of installing one of these clutches in my VY SS atm. Question about loctite, the supplied bolts have a red wettish like paste on them like the ones in the video I assume was Loctite..? So am I supposed to use my own Loctite on these bolts on top of the red stuff that's already on them or..?

    • @uniclutch
      @uniclutch  7 місяців тому

      That's right we also require extra loctite to be added so that its across the full working area of the bolts.

    • @Wreck3d
      @Wreck3d 7 місяців тому

      Oh well it's all back together now. Wasn't sure but figured probably better not to compromise whatever had been applied to bolts already all good but. Thanks for replying!
      Also why I have ya here, I did read that engagement point or pedal height would be higher than OE, it's all the way at the very top of the pedal now... While everything else about the kit is perfect and a joy the pedal height issue making bedding in and hill-starts etc a real pain unfortunately. Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated Ive tried messing around with adjusting the clutch pedal at the master cylinder feels a little better n free play is good but not gonna do much for pedal height etc... 🤷

    Good clutch but does it related to reliability?

    Is your lotus a 2zz-ge with a C60 transmission? If so, then you could also market this for the 7th gen Celica’s, but hopefully the price isn’t a lotus owner price. Celica owners can’t afford that. But I’ll have to look into this. It seems like an awesome alternative than going to a dual clutch system. I am also on a Competition Clutch flywheel.

    • @uniclutch
      @uniclutch  9 місяців тому

      Hi there, we do have it available for the 7th gen Celica and also the Corolla Sportivo with the 2zzge :) You would need to check the dowel positions of your flywheel, to ensure its the same as OEM, if it is then the UniClutch fitment kit should still work.

    I see nothing new here, except an adapter plate that will be prone to failure. And a non-serviceable clutch unit.

    Very helpful explanation! I wonder how much more pedal force the Sport VS standard version? It seems that even the standard version has enough torque capacity for my FK8, but I do track it a few times every year.

    • @uniclutch
      @uniclutch  9 місяців тому +1

      Thanks, the pedal effort between the two is negligible, it does however depend on the vehicle application, our FK8 Type R was great to drive with the sport and didn't feel heavy compared to a traditional upgrade clutch.

    Hello. I want to buy this clutch but I can`t find the one for Citroen C4 Cactus 2016. If it is the one with DMF, I need to buy a DMF to SMF kit? Thank you!

    • @uniclutch

      Hi There, could you confirm which specific engine your C4 has so we can review this further for you. Thanks

    • @gabrieladrian6736
      @gabrieladrian6736 Місяць тому

      Hi. It is BH02 1.6 diesel, euro 6 engine. The car has the manual (piloted) gearbox.
      So I am hoping that using a new normal flywheel and a uniclutch kit will offer a good experience for a daily driver. Nothing fancy.
      Thanks!

    Damn was considering but im a pull type and its way more beneficial over a push type and a pull to push conversion for a supra is not worth it damn had my hopes up

    • @Savage6supra
      @Savage6supra 7 місяців тому +1

      @@samuelmdouglas pull type on the pressure plate can excert more force on the clutch plates while using less effort to disengage the force applying to the clutch pack like a playground seasaw not sure if thats how its spelt but its all about pivot points like cracking a stubborn bolt with a ratchet over cracking a stubborn bolt with a long bar but my explanation dosnt do it justice its all about pivot point I have a serious duel disc clutch in my supra and the pedal feel is like stock my friends skyline is a push type twin disc and the peddle pressure to disengage that clutch is crazy hard and iv got another friend with a triple disc clutch push style I struggled to get it in its not drivable in my eyes you feel like your going to brake the pedal mounts though the firewall

      Yes you can use a hydraulic release bearing , just needs to be set up to the correct crush to suit your application.
