R.I.P AKA I Latest update on Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes' fatal shooting

- The investigation into the murder of South African rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and his close friend Tebello Motsoane will be taken over by the KwaZulu-Natal Organised crime team.
This was confirmed by the province's spokesperson Captain Robert Netshiunda.
It's believed the rapper and Motsoane - who was an entrepreneur and Forbe's business partner - were leaving Wish' restaurant on Florida road when two men on foot fired shots at them.
A third victim, believed to be Forbes's bodyguard was injured and taken to hospital.
AKA's family - in a statement - has asked for space as they wait for the circumstances surrounding the shooting to become clearer.
Netshiunda says the motive for the killing is unknown. Now let us get the latest from Durban we now cross to our reporter Jayed Paulse.

This man made me fall in love with South African music I wasn't even a rap head but I turned one cos of him it was something about him, his personality. Can't believe someone will do this to him he didn't deserve this. It's pathetic how people can be this wicked taking a few pocket change just to take another man's life. Sheesh this streets ain't safe no more better alone than have a whole bunch of friends. Hope justice is served.
This was no random killing, the number of shots clearly show this was very personal... Whether Durban or elsewhere, he was targeted...the others were shot to confuse and create doubt but we know he specifically was the target.
