A brilliant life lived, and a brilliant death died. I can only dream of going out like that. To die on your birthday surrounded by adoring fans and loving friends, during an encore of love light as the band full of incredibly passionate and brilliant musicians serenaded his soul out into the universe and onto the next part of his journey. What is dead never dies...Bruce left an indelible mark. Probably the most poetic and beautiful way to go. godspeed colonel.
Bruce Hampton died at the feet of his little protégé, Brandon "Taz" Niederauer. I saw it on Dailymotion. He slowly knelt down and collapsed, with one arm over a monitor speaker. It was sad because the band played on, thinking he was joking around.
No one helped because he moved several times periodically after his collapse. They thought he was ok. Fortunately He died on camera, on stage, doing what he loved.. Preforming with & in the presence of adoring fans & fellow musicians
Wow, What a way to go!!! on stage ripping it until his number came up. ??? Then meeting Jesus in the midst of that most awesome moment. He effected alot off people in many ways. God bless his soul.
I was there. Thanks guys for putting together this piece, he was larger than life and we are all so crushed. But he left us doing what he loved.

He got me one day off
He left doing what he loved. Awesome.
God's speed Col Bruce! You went the way you wanted, God bless and thanks for all the great music. You'll be missed.

😭😭😭 I watched the stream at home 😥
If you gotta go (and we all do) if you're a musician....this would be the way.....RIP Col. Hampton!
Happy birthday, Bruce!
Never mind the man the contemplates doing away with license plates
so sad he's gone
So surreal. There is a chance he could have been saved, but the band was oblivious to his stressed position as he lay dying on that monitor.
RIP BRUCE
Colonel Bruce Hampton is dead and gone, Colonel Bruce army still marches on
R.I.P. col. Bruce ...
❤️❤️❤️❤️
RIP
He died on his birthday?
No, he died one day after his birthday. May he rest in peace.
At least he didn’t die alone
como pode, uma pessoa morrer na sua frente sem q ninguém percebeu q alguma coisa estava errada !!!!A humanidade está cada vez mais desligada !!!!
F
No Smoking though
Died on stage wow, what an idiom.
