Great video! This used to be one of my favorite fragrances from Xerjoff, but, as i got older, and my life changed, my taste changed a little bit and now i am gravitating towards other scents. I heard in one of your videos that you use the word masterpiece rarely, which i think it's suitable for just a couple of fragrances on the market and i appreciated that, your reviews are very interesting and personal. I would be very curious to see a video from you talking about the fragrances from your collection that you really believe are masterpieces! Keep up the good work!

This is true... i have done a lot of destroying of Xerjoff recently... this one isnt for me...but it isnt bad (or as bad as it could be) I could see this smelling amazing & sexy on the right woman tho 😂

I've worn his work a few times lately, and the way they've matured is unquestionably the best.
I think some of his lesser-cost ones are going to go quickly.

@@RamseytheRam she is. I actually think that while this is good it could be much improved if it was less sweet. Like if it was only Ombre Leather level sweet for instance . I almost don't want to admit that there is a xejoff that I actually kind of like 😂

Hi , Ramsey . Great video as always. My SOTD is also a Roja. Roja PDLN no 1 which happens to be my favorite of the PDLN line. And yeah this is a decant coz as you say😂 not worth the retail. Ill try to snatch a bottle on the secondary market or a partial one. Cheers
PDLN 1 reminds me a bit of Tom Ford Amber Absolute in the dry down
Never tried it, i do however own TF tobacco oud and i can pick alot of similarities between them. Especially the booze 🥃 but i find the Roja more animalic but in a good way.
Yes I agree with you Sami, there are similarites between Tobacco Oud & Amber Absolute for sure
Great breakdown Ramsey. This is only jerkoff I’ve sampled. All I remember is that I smelled poop on top of Mugler Alien (jasmine and cashmeran.)Alien also gives me a tobacco in the sillage. I don’t think I like cashmeran though perhaps I should try the Malle you mentioned to be sure.
The malle is required sniffing 🐽

If you want iris goo with xerjoff Ibitira instead. Way better iris scent than that. Only if you cab find it because it has been discontinued.

This is one of my favorites from the oud line, maybe my favorite even. Xerjoff is a house I enjoy (talking about fragrance wise), but I don't like all the luxury bullshit around it, like I don't like the same topic on other brands, Roja, Fragrance du bois, etcetc, it's priced to be seen has luxurious and only that, some the quality of ingredients are mediocre at best, not to mentioning the non stop increasing price, the average price of a fragrance is roundly around 50% more then just a few years ago (yeah, we can blame covid, war, etc, but when the price of materials start dropping I don't see brands decreasing their prices)

To my nose this is starts as a horse stable and dries down to a super pissy Jasmine. Hard pass. Scent of the day is lapidus pour homme

Al-Khatt is utterly awful on my skin, truly rank.. the oud smelled like diarrhoea to me in the opening, though I've not smelled it in years.. Maybe I could tolerate it more these days.
