The title track "Skintight", or the darker hit "Boy at the Window", are rocking mid-tempo tracks that contrast the more touching ballads such as "Twofold" or the lively "Wonders".
Liv Kristine achieves the impossible by creating a studio album with an incredibly real live atmosphere. On the ballad "The Rarest Flower" her voice seems to hauntingly brush up against the skin. I love this. I love Liv in all of her musical conquests, she is a musician so I figured that she would give this type of music a go. And all of you guys are so cool for being so supportive. I really thought she would get a lot of flack for this song when I looked it up. But truly Liv's fan love her no matter what genre she is performing. I love music and I support talent no matter what genre it happens to be :)

I loved her 2 Solos and I love this! I appreciate that she is able to connect with so many Styles of Music, she looks good with Pop and even though with Metal. She´s a big Idol for me!
This song's like a breath of fresh air. And I find it wonderful that her voice goes so well with so many different styles.
Damn, this is so good, so sensual, provocative, smart lyrics, Liv has such a perfect tone. Like electro goth, love her solo career much more than her band. Just as good as TOT. If pop was this good, I would not mind listening to it as much as I listen to metal or goth rock.

y es lo que la hace diferente, hay artistas que se estancan en su genero y no van mas allá del mismo, generándoles incertidumbre o quizás el miedo a la critica le impide traspasar esa barrera acústica u de otra índole
If anyone thinks Liv is selling out, you're dead wrong! She's just a creative person who brings meaning into everything - love, hope, family, emotions, etc! Please all I hope for the world is that people learn a little understanding before judging!

@@FimbulvertElLobo16 lo que sucede es que no comprendes la esencia no nada más del "metal" sino del rock e incluso la música en general, así como el joto de bon Jovi y otros, hicieron lo suyo para arruinar el rock de su época, este tipo de artistas echaron a perder el metal con sus deseos y ambiciones banales. Y luego está la gente cómo tú, que compran lo que sea.
Met her after a Leaves`Eyes show one week ago, talked to her and got a pic together. She´s so nice and easy to everybody who was around. And so was the whole band.
All of them signed my Meredead Album, except Alex who was doin´his hair backstage :-D
I met Liv in Cleveland few weeks ago during her US Tour with Leaves Eyes.. She was very nice and gracious.. I also met Alex.. She has one of the most beautiful voices on planet earth.. since Theater of Tragedy to Leaves Eyes... and now as solo .. Great artist.. it is a shame that she is not appreciated in the US...

if you watch the Leaves eyes DVD, Liv mentions that Madonna was one of her biggest inspirations, musically. it's good to see people try different things. I hate it when musicians have "solo" projects, but the music is exactly the same as their band. I love Leaves eyes, but it's good to see Liv doing something different on the side every now and then as well :)

+theamvgirlx on its own it is not bad. You just can't think of this as leaves' eyes. This is light playful not serious in the least. Leaves' eyes is anything but playful and is serious music.

Seriously, can't believe anyone could make a comparaison with Liv and Lady Gaga. Liv is a true singer, she has one of the most beautiful voices in the whole Earth, there is simply no way she can be compare to Lady Gaga. I'm really tired seeing on every youtube video people talking about Lady Gaga without any valuable reason seriously, get over it guys. It's not because you're blonde that you're copying her, come on. She isn't SO great.
Anyway, Liv is one of my top 3 singers and will always be.

Is it actually 'pop music' though, pop music is 'popular music' suggesting to me a large mainstream fan base. Where as Liv doesn't seem that big outside of Metal, at least not in the charts. Not that that is a bad thing.

I've been a metal head since the 80's...black metal, speed metal, thrash, hardcore, doom, beauty and beast. I was listening to tapes bootlegged from other copies of tapes when almost everything was underground and inaccessible ..Venom, Bathory, Death, Entombed and beyond ..I loved Theatre of Tragedy and to me, this is probably a natural progression for Liv. I don't mind it at all. She's a beautiful woman, has a beautiful voice and wants to branch out. Much more than a Barbie!
