- I often get asked if I could recommend a VST for Italo Disco.
Here's the one you can hear on many of my recent productions.
It's the FREE Synth1, powered with incredible presets banks made by Lukas Lundh. Check out all the links below and start creating your own Italo tracks.
This is just a very basic, quick and dirty tutorial clip:
No external or internal effects such as delay, reverb, chorus etc.
No mastering - just a very easy guide for starting producing Italo / Euro / Synth with FL Studio.

Now I like this guy even more than before. You, sir are a great musician.
Thanks for sharing the secrets so that Italo can be kept alive and even increase in popularity. Will use the summer vacation to play around with this and maybe even involve my kids / next generation if they are interested 😊
Mirko. You are my favorite artist. A BIG thank you from Greece.
Thank you very much Sir, liked, subbed and donated ofcourse
Thank you for the tutorial, I hope this series will be continued!
all im looking for is how they do the crazy fills with delay and wild toms and claps and crashes some of those instrumental drum breaks that just go insane. I love how at the end its like you COULD do these things but thats literally the only thing i came here for so if you could do another video on just that, that would be amazing! :D
Thanks for sharing. A nice and basic tutorial is always appreciated for a noob like me. Those presets might come handy in my future tracks :)
Brilliant, thanks a lot! Typical 1980’s Italo🎹🇮🇹
All this that you share with us is gold so that my producer friends in Mexico can create new sounds in their productions Thank you very much for sharing
Hermano, no entendí. Los presets son de descarga gratis?
@@bigjuicyb6981
That's so interesting! Thank you for sharing it with your fans.👍
Wow, you're an expert, your tutorial is very useful for all italo disco enthusiasts. I would only have added some claps and some toms.
Genius !! ❤️❤️❤️
Damn. It's so good
Thanks, Mr. Hirsch
Thank you so much Marlo
sehr cool!
good music thanks for tutorial
Grandios Mirko.
Thank you so much mirko*
Yo! You gonna release a song with that final instrumental? It's sick!
This is so cool. I wish I knew this video sooner
I'm a 17 year old kid who is into italo disco like addicted to the point it's my falling as sleep music 😅
And I have a question if you don't mind:
Why is that when I make an italo disco track everything sounds so thin but when it comes to mid 2000's music every sounds warm and nice even without mastering? I tried everything I know about eq and it just makes instruments sound louder not warmer. I'm learning how to eq again cause I think I'm not good enough and I don't think my explaination is right there so please fix me if you want to. Thankyou
Greetings 🎀
where i can hear this beauty song, completed it?
Hi I need laserlight snare sound that he use it in change of time album
Please correct the text in the description to: "Check out all the links BELOW..." Thanks for the video!
Danke Mirko!
FL Studio
@@godcheatermusicandothersTVEB Yes, FL Studio ist korrekt.
Das ist FL Studio von Image-Line in der Producer Edition.
@@mirkohirsch_official Danke für die schnelle Antwort.
Sometimes I use Synth1 BUT it sounds so cheapy (without FX's) :D
Korg and Roland satisfies me more in the final sound
Thanks anyway!
And I have question about your bass sound. How to get the sound like in "One Last Touch" and etc? I can't make this sound in my VSTs (korg, ob-x, roland, tal-u-no...). What is this VST?
This sound is very different from everything and has unique power, polysix is very close, but still not the same
I'm using Synth1 with Lukas' presets on most of my productions of the last years.
Usually, I put the Waves Doubler 2 on the leads/stabs etc.
And yes - of course, without any FX like in the video, it sounds a bit cheap - but that was the main idea. To keep it very simple and basic and FREE, although I've bought the Korg Legacy Collection some years ago and used it a lot on my early productions.
For my bass sound, I usually layer two or three bass sounds on top of each other.
I've just checked the bass sound of "ONE LAST TOUCH" and it is...
Korg Polysix, Preset "Fat Line Bass"
plus FM8 with my own "Radiorama" bass preset, based on the classic DX7 bass
plus Sylenth1, Preset 088 BS Italo (with all internal FX of the plugin itself turned off)
plus FX "Kjaerhus Classic Chorus, Preset Solid El-Bass" plus Fruity Parametric EQ and additional EQing of the mids.
I've used Sylenth1's BS Italo on a lot of my songs - you can also hear it on "Lost in Alphaville"
@@mirkohirsch_official Wow! Three synths are awesome, I hope I can make it :)
Thanks
where can i get the presets from this video?
hey bit late but i downloaded synth 1 and it only allows me to use soundbank 0, the rest of the soundbanks say initial sound and nothing else for all options
You have to download the 80s style soundbanks from this channel first:
www.youtube.com/@roboticrealm/search?query=synth%201
In each video description, there is a download link for the specific pack.
Then, you can load the soundbanks into Synth1 via the "opt" button.
There you can assign each bank to its download folder and use the sounds.
I cannot offer them for download myself on my website because they belong to their creator, Lukas Lundh.
@@mirkohirsch_official thank you!
