@@malik8525 Nah. He was holding his own, just wasn't able to phase the other dude. Also you gotta be careful when judging these sparring videos, you don't know all the details or if one of them sparred 3 or 5 other fresh guys before the video started lol.

amazing sparring video, this was a great video to study on both fighters! both did great defense and offense and took alot of notes from this to practice
Thanks for the support brother. As far as fights go, I’ll try to find out this weekend. Many times when I film i don’t know anything about who is in the ring lol
Fantastic camera work and really great the vibe of the gym. As for the boxers, quality combinations and great movement. Head to body work was really impressive. In future can you please try and put the names of the boxers on screen or in the comments so we can follow their progress. Top work guys and best of luck in the future.
Great to see beautiful Amateur boxing... with proper experience in amateur competition. Sadly the term 'Amateur' gets diminished around media. It is NO Joke to be amateur in boxing.
Hell yeah. All amateur means is you haven’t decided to go pro yet. These guys can range from “learning how to punch” to being absolute warriors in the ring
Headgear is the reason why amateurs jab more than pros on average. Jabs hurt you more than round shots a lot of times because they can still water your eyes and break your nose. The hooks get cushioned quite a bit, although you can still get just as concussed because the brain does not stop hitting the inside of the skull just because you’re wearing headgear.
I can see that as far as offense goes! The only difference is Joseph seems to stay in the pocket and throw his shots. Shakur maneuvers better back and forth to land his blows, but then again it’s an unfair comparison lol
It shows how much of an amateur he is, there were countless counters that could knock the other guy, but I do believe they have alot of potential, they could definitely get better
Très bon travail mais j'ai vu que David à vite perdu son souffle à un moment, ses coups étaient totalement faibles mais il s'est un peu repris à la fin. Joseph, le blue headgear à bien tenue son rythme. bravo quand même pour les 2 performances.
@@OfficialParallel8yessir. He won the Texas golden gloves this year and went to the second round of the national golden gloves. He’s supposed to be turning pro soon. Him and Joseph spar a lot as well so they are very familiar with each other
good match.. defense needs work from both..offensive work sharp from the blue guy...I gotta agree with commenters who have said it was harder than nessesary... You Can work technique and benefit from such sparring without upping it to the point of loosing braincells....The advantage in lighter, more technicall sparring is that fighters remain fresh, can train More ofetn without longer recovery times due to concussion and other injuries... Hard spars have their place in prepping the fighter for an opponent but not on a continual basis as in "every spar needs to be hard or its worthless" There are So many areas that can be worked on in a technical spar that can be ignored and overlooked when "throwing and landing hard" becomes a priority... with solid technique developed, power Can be turned up in sparring with Good results...when technique is lacking, emphasizing power has little benefit to either fighter.. just my 3 cents.
Your three cents seem to be the common consensus lol. But in this case, Joseph was training for a fight last weekend so I’m pretty sure it was hard sparring with a purpose. It was my first time seeing them both so I didn’t know the back story or anything
this was tough to watch and i think it should have been stopped. the guy in red jock was no match for blue headgear guy, he took too much punishment and simply is not at the level of the blue guy to be fighting him. there were no useless pointers given to him and he did the same thing over and over. this is the kind of gym i'd avoid training at and this kind of sparring imo is completely useless.
Good shit bro 💪🏽noticed you started to telegraph towards the end of the rounds, work on not telegraphing even if you're tired. I gotta work on that too myself.
Lol you let your partner know what you’re trying to do and you work on it together in a way that’s safe and won’t injure anyone. A lot of sparring is communication and trust
Interesting to watch and good courage and durability from both fighters, but felt like a bit of a mismatch to me. Black helmet landed jabs to the body but couldn't match the combinations of the other fighter who seemed far more experienced.
