Flavor is the totality of taste texture and things like that. Vodka is definitely not flavorless but it may be "flavor-less" it's not got a strong "vodka" flavor hence why it's great for cocktails and infusions
Vodka will have a very mild taste that is easily overpowered but whatever else you add into it, so it won't stand out. Unless you drink Tito's. People think I'm crazy but I swear that stuff makes everything taste like corn.
I keep telling people you can drink Monopolowa straight and it doesn’t burn. It has a nice, creamy mouthfeel…it’s also parve for Passover(though there are K-for-P vodka) because it’s not made with grains

Honestly I always thought "oh there can't be that much of a difference, vodka is vodka." But then I actually tried a decent potato vodka and the difference was immediately noticeable. Potato vodka I could honestly just drink neat, it's weirdly good.
If I'm in the store already, they're going to give me a more insightful answer and I can ask follow up quesrions. I usually use Google but the first result that comes up isn't always right and I end up reading several pages to finally find the answer.
