If Smaug coiled up into a ball like a snake, he would be no bigger than Godzilla’s foot. Literally. His body layout is truly that much smaller next to Godzilla’s.

Godzilla is one of the most ancient and most powerful Kaiju/Titans. He's an alpha for a reason. Goji is more powerful & way more durable. He's also most likely just as intelligent. He's more versatile in his attacks as well. His close range attacks are devastating and often lethal. His long range attacks are godly. His atomic breath is said to able to reach temps hotter than the sun. Smaug's fire breath doesn't really compare. Goji's atomic blast would cut through his fire attack. Let's not forget Godzilla is much larger. Even if they're equally sized a swat from Goji's tail could severely injure Smaug. If not kill him. Just imagine what a bite from Godzilla could do. Let alone what the Atomic breath would do. And if Goji has his nuclear pulses it's over instantly. (Edit) and if Smaug is longer than Godzilla Goji is still taller. Depending on which version you're talking about.

Lastly Godzilla's atomic breath can be a thin atomic Ray with pin point accuracy. Or it can be a thick huge blast of energy. Either way he could hit smaug's weak point. And even a blast to the scales would weaken or kill him. Smaug is only impervious to stuff like Spears, axes, swords, arrows & maybe fire. But he definitely can't withstand an atomic Ray hotter than the sun. You're underestimating Goji's atomic powers. The atomic breath is like the power and energy of a nuke but much more powerful. All this immense atomic energy directed in a beam of destruction. And the nuclear pulse would end him In seconds. Smaug just has fire breath bruh.

Ghidorah doesn't shoot lightning. It look like lightning but they are Gravity Beams, which is in the same league as the Atomic Breath and by such, far much worse than lightning.

Smaug has two advantages in this fight that I was surprised you didn't bring up. Intelligence, and flight. He definitely has the edge there. But yeah, too little though. Godzilla has beaten better opponents that can fly...and intelligence can only get you so far. Honestly, I think smaug would use his intelligence and his flight ability to simply fly away and avoid the fight. Because as arrogant as Smaug is, he is smart enough to know this is a fight he has no hope of winning.

Godzilla makes a hole in Smaug with one beam. And if you know power scaling, MV Godzilla has speed of light melee, which would automatically one shot Smaug. And multi continental durability. Also drilled through thousands of miles of earth in 10 seconds according to the GvK novelization.
6:40 Just for clarification, it was a Black Arrow, and it was the only weapon capable of killing Smaug. Regardless, Godzilla is winning this fight.
