As you were charging into the whitewater I thought "way too fast" (but they are experienced). I guess my arm chair analysis was correct. Thanks for including it as a lesson. Great video!
@@pworker8124 Actually you will see us in an upcoming episode going up another chute and you DO need to go fast . Michael still swears he saw bigger fishing boats go up this way years ago but we didn’t see any while we were there . We watched a boat come down another chute and back tracked to figure it out. Final lesson I suppose is to do your homework every time! Thanks for watching.
OMG!! You mentioned Norma and Doug doing the Great Loop. Too bad you did not show them on video. That couple purchased my Beneteau Swift Trawler 34 for a 11 month Great Loop journey. Miss that boat!
That is so funny ! What a small world! Your old boat is looking great, they were taking great care of it and making wonderful memories and friends along the way!
@@adamsons2890 The location is in the title . The Bad River. The closer you are to the tributaries like the French River the more tanin stained the water . There are many locations with crystal clear water elsewhere.
@@expeditionseanest Ok thanks, that makes sense. I Googled Georgian Bay and it’s massive. Good luck with your channel and safe travels. Watch out for those Sasquatch things also 🦧
I really appreciate your videos from the bottom of my soul. I currently single hand a small sailboat in the PNW, but I am considering either an R-23 or R-25. I absolutely love sailing, but I am sort of at a crossroads where I think the exploration part of boating trumps the sailing part for me. I would like to more safely and efficiently get to places to explore. If you think storage is a premium on a small tug, let me tell you about a small sailboat. Obviously the price is a major detractor from me jumping to my goal, but I know ultimately I can afford one and I understand the "price" of boat ownership. Your videos are helping me make a very important decision.
That is the sweetest comment! Thank you so much , and we are so happy that you are enjoying the content. We seriously considered a sailboat some years ago, but it just didn’t work out. Michael grew up on a sailboat, but for this chapter of our lives, and the decade moving forward, we felt that the Ranger tug was the best fit for us. Especially the smaller R25 because we can trailer it anywhere. Best of luck finding something that suits your needs and good for you to continue having adventures on the water. This is what life is all about.
@@SailingOléHopThat is wild! We are now wondering how many other mishaps have happened on these chutes! Glad you were ok. Thanks for watching and we will look for you on the water. Wave us down if you see us!

Great video . Haha! We almost flip our dinghy exactly at the same place last year. We might see you somewhere on Georgian Bay. We are s/v Olé Hop.

Are you going to buy a needle nose plier when you get back?
@@robertp.7090 Michael has two but for this job he said they were not strong enough I believe…
So why were you banging on the prop?😂
