Good morning, friends and families! Meet our 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel moms - Remy, Myra, and Robin. They are each cozy in their own corner of our bedroom with their own litter of puppies. I was attempting to film a 3-minute trailer for the livestream, but the puppies were up to so much that I couldn't cram it all into 3 minutes!
Remy's puppies needed pottying, as did Myra's puppies, so I talk about their potty training and we go around and look at all the puppies' opening eyes. All of Remy's & Myra's puppies have their eyes open, and Robin's puppies are getting very close! Myra's puppies' eyes are not fully open, but they are getting close! Remy's puppies are even walking - but they were still too sleepy to show us this morning.
We hope you can join us for the livestream that follows! Linked here:
We are looking forward to catching up!
With warm hugs and cavalier kisses,
    Elisabeth & Drew
    ------------------------------------------
Welcome to the Red Barn Cavaliers family home! We invite the families and friends of our puppies 'into' our home to watch their puppy thrive and grow. You are viewing some of our current Cavalier puppies. We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, socialization, and so much more.
We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with a proactive approach that places an emphasis on their emotional-social development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding, so we nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further.
We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. The timing is important because as they get older, they crawl away from their nest to potty and poop - so we want them to go to the pellets! Using this method, our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own without guidance within about two weeks of practice. By about 6-7 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray rather than wet themselves in their sleep (much like human babies!).
Our young puppies are kept in our master bedroom for 24-hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are able to hear the puppies' vocalizations, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies starting as early as a week old, and how we nurture their training throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a well-trained puppy to their family.

I always love Robin's litters. They are always so docile and loving. All Cavalier puppies are, but Robin's are super special cause of her parenting.
I also am quite taken by Lunar and Mira.

Pine pellets :) It’s completely changed the way we potty train our dogs and made it so much easier!

Thank you so much. I appreciate your response. I love the way you attend and love your puppies. Your compassion and video's are priceless. When you find the proper home for your puppies. What do you send home with them and their new owners? And do you have vet checks on your puppies or is that something you do on your own. You just seem to have so much more information out there. Thank you ❤@@RedBarnCavaliers

No problem! Thank you for the nice message. :) When it’s time to go home, we pack a “Going home” bag for each puppy to help with their transition home. We provide a lambchop (which gets the Mama dog rub - puppies love it!), then have families pick out a puppy blanket (which we also rub all over Mom) and a leather collar, 3-4 puppy-sized plush squeaky toys, plus 2-3 teether toys. We also provide a travel water dish, poop bags (with holder), and bath soap. We pack up about a month’s worth of food so that families have enough to cover 2 weeks without having to change their food yet (water varies by region and can be upsetting to the puppy’s tummy, so we encourage families to let them adjust to the different water first). That way there’s plenty left over for a slow, smooth transition. We also provide a bag of pellets which can be helpful in a variety of ways, especially for those traveling by plane. Families can take their puppy into a family bathroom, lay down a towel and sprinkle the pellets, and your puppy will know what to do!
At 6 weeks old they get their first puppy shots, with the second being given at 8 weeks to complete the series before leaving. We take them in to be seen by our vet between 6-8 weeks, usually right around the 7-week mark. Right before pickup we microchip every puppy, too.
Thank you again for the very kind message! We are really happy to hear how much you enjoy our channel. ♥️🐶♥️
